We all knew this, so it's not earth shattering, but, from the Herald...

### UM people believe Florida State and Arkansas were two schools that negative recruited against the Hurricanes, with FSU warning players that UM is going to be on NCAA probation, despite having no firm evidence. FSU was irritated about losing Coley to Miami, but UM believes FSU bad-mouthed UM last year, too.

Who cares? This is recruiting war. You do everything you can to ink a player. This shouldn't upset or surprise anyone.
 
Al gotta stop thinking that this is some sort of "honor amongst thieves" type deal. Teams are going to negative recruit us man. If you didn't point out to the kid that there is a 100 spot difference between a Arkansas and Miami education, that's your fault. If you didn't point out the disadvantage of playing on field turf, that's your fault. If you didn't point out how the manner in which Bielema uses his running backs, isn't conducive to your draft stock or future NFL success, that's your fault.

This isn't a game of honesty and loyalty.

I hope Golden does and Urban Meyer and runs up the score on FSU, and has Dumbo over on the other side crying put ur back ups in.
 
FSU loses almost every assistant corch on their staff and still manages to sell some of these idiots on a "family-type" atmosphere.
 
If I was recruiting against Miami, I would've negative recruited too. Just the way the game goes.
 
It's scummy to send articles anonymously to kids crapping on UM. If any a y'all woulda done that if you were FSU, then you're scummy too.

I wouldn't and I'm sure many of the people here wouldn't, but that's truly of no consequence seeing as none of us are on college staffs. It's scummy, but it's a fact of recruiting that is not going to change.
 
Negative recruiting is going to happen.

It's in Miami's best interest to publicize it just enough to not sound whiny.

2013 cycle was likely the last time Miami will have to deal with it to this extent.
 
When we get the ball rolling we're to kick these ***gots asses for the next 5 to 6 years.

I understand there are scummy people out there who will do it. I am simply responding to those who seem to think it's not scummy behavior.

Stating the obvious but not only does the NCAA ass****ing us deeper and deeper every month that drags on effect us, but it benefits those around us as well. Maybe we have to spend more time recruiting kids we shouldnt have to, maybe an OOS star sees our mail and promptly throws it in the trash because of the investigation? It allows teams like FSU to swoop in and makes defending their own prospects even easier.

**** "skating" and the horse it rode out on a 2 months ago.
