Outside of Dortch, I don't expect any of them to ever contribute much (besides ST).. JMO though

I think we were more amped about stealing Blue than what his potential on the field was.

Cain got more play as an underclassmen than as an underclassmen.

Kelvin Cain - why isnt he playing more?-he can play spot duty but its pretty much over for him

David Perry - any potential?-the fact that he still has eligibility left shocks me (but he was highly over rated out of U-school-a randy shannon bust)

Dwayne Hoilett - still too young?-with the players coming in at DE he has to pick it up in a major way because now with sanctions gone Al is only going to recruit better

Nate Dortch/Larry Hope - beat out by Burns but we need these two to get better for depth?-Burns = beast-got hopes for one of them but i do see a transfer looming

Jawand Blue - future fullback? Or can he play mlb?- next year should crack the 2 deep

Dmauri Jones - is he traveling seems like he should be playig-i see transfer in his future

A lot of dead weight beside a couple on that list

there is still time for Blue to contribute. plenty of time

Perry and Cain are probably close to DONE

Jones - i think he can be serviceable. he probably sticks around for depth purposes and maybe gets meaningful playing time as a Sr or Jr

Funny story about Blue. VPI fans are still upset about him flipping to us. There was a thread on their board a couple of days ago calling Golden dirty. They even said Golden was dirty going back to his days on Groh's staff at UVA when he used to recruit against VPI. I hate those ******* inbred flubber-rednecks.

I know those guys are young, but there's a difference (in my mind, I guess) between them and guys like:

Olsen
Duke
Crawford
Edwards
Tucker
Coley
Waters
Lewis
Scott
Dorsett
Dobard
Flowers
Gall
Gadbois
Pierre
Chick
McCord
AQM
Burns
Grace
Carter
...

just seems like for every stud there's a guy who just doesn't seem to have it. And many of those guys have left. Dillard, Briscoe, etc.

Recruit better.

Nevermind the whole "death penalty" thing, amirite? Nice to see you've written off a true freshman who is redshirting, a RS freshman who is behind several really good players, a couple JUCO transfers who have barely gotten their feet wet here, a LB who has played very well for the most part & a RS freshman kicker who has missed a couple FG's... Great logic.

Al has landed a bunch of really, really good recruits.

He just needs to hit on some more moving forward. I'm confident he will.

He needs to recruit better. Does anyone disagree?

This is why no one can take you seriously and your post is merely a troll.

Olsen ZERO SNAPS at Miami but he is good. Why? We may not see him till 2015 if he starts then especially if we assume Ryan Williams is the starter in 2014. Olsen zero snaps.

So guys like Blue, Hope, Dortch or anyone playing for their first season (i.e. didn't redshirt) is a joke to hear people complain about. They got here in 2012 or 2013.

Who should Hope and Dortch start over? Who should they play over?

Howard?
Gunter?
Burns?
Crawford?

2012/2013 Recruits have hardly been at Miami. Give them at least another season for 2012. Kirby has hardly played, should we throw Blue in there over Perryman? Some of them even if given another season won't amount to much because the talent in front of them is too good (CB) so we may have to wait past that.

Recruit better, duly noted.

Of course but we just got through the NCAA and he has done what he has done already. There is always room for improvement. I just don't get how you have determined some 2012/13 kids (still enrolled) are not going to amount to anything.

I'm not saying they're busts or that they should be starting as freshmen. I'm saying that there's a difference between South Florida studs like Howard, Bush, Burns, Grace, Perryman, Duke, Coley, Yearby etc and some of these other guys who weren't as highly regarded. Some of them will more than likely develop into good players, but we need more bonafide South Florida studs. I understand that Al has been hamstrung, but now that that is no longer the case, he must kick it up a notch, and by the looks of it he already is.

Has it even been 2 weeks? I am not going to debate South Florida versus the World in talent. I don't care where it comes from, I just want talented players who will work hard and buy into the system.

The majority of the classes have been South Florida so, I don't know what to tell you. I also don't see any indication (at least from numbers) that he would change this strategy.

The majority of last year's class was not from South Florida. Burns, Coley, Grace, Carter, Tucker. That's it. We need more. Ultimately, I don't care where they're from either as long as they're great at football. Now that the handcuffs are off and there are scholarship restrictions, we need to hit on more stud savages and less under the radar guys imo.

Hope/Dortch have been on STs spot duty throughout the year. Not sure what to expect out of them. At this point in their careers, they are serviceable backups.

Blue - he's not even on STs. Disappointing. This was a kid who VT wanted. Good athlete - solid size. Not sure what position he is.

Jones - will get his chance this spring.

Perry - JAG

Cain - disappointing he hasn't played more lately. He was playing quite a bit earlier in the year.

Hoilett - great size and good athlete for a DE his age. We'll see this spring.

This spring will make or break a lot of these guys. We'll find out if their jags or contributors. My sense is most if not all of these kids will be jags/serviceable backups.

I take it back you are correct. We signed 5 from SF. Lewis is just from Florida (but he is a bust according to you). 16 total kids enrolled and only 5 were from SF.

I agree somewhat with your other list and this list but you have to exclude O'Donnell, and I still need time to see if (R.Lewis, Sandland, and Kamalu can do with respectable playing time) Sandland is just not getting the looks but catches a high percentage of the throws he does get.
