Just spoke to Vince Marrow. He confirmed he is UK's new tight ends coaching. Filling out paperwork to get on the road recruiting for Cats.

Don't think he'll be heading there

Down to Miami and ASU for real now eh. JOIN FISCH BEAU, forget the girls at ASU

This is the kid that's a mix between Gronk, Shocky, Winslow, JG and Olsen?

He strikes me as a west coast kid. I think we lose a(nother) close one.

ASU lock.

He just said the same thing most people have said that followed Sandland's recruitment. Go back to his first interviews and he talked about his position coach being the #1 factor and the fact that he loves ASU's guy and he has been there to visit on his own dime a couple of times. Not to mention the fact that their offense uses the TE a lot.

Not too hard to recognize ASU as the leader.

I heard he plans to visit ASU again, that is not a good sign

I think he plans to see Miami again as well along with Golden and Fisch visiting.

He said he is no longer taking those visits. He was planning to visit all 3 finalists again but the time-frame isn't going to work out. He did say the coach at Nebraska leaving will have a big affect on his decision so basically its down to Miami and ASU. Miami will be visiting him tomorrow, as will Nebraska. Miami sending the big guns (Carroll, Fisch and Golden). What he is looking at:

"Position coach, type of offense, playing time, and somewhere where I just feel comfortable, and somewhere that I can see them preparing me for the NFL"

Anybody got some knowledge of ASU's offense and their QB?

I remember the last time we lost to ASU in a recruiting battle for a top tier "white boy" TE...Zach Miller circa 2004

I think they are more of a spread offense but their TE is very good, had over 50 catches this year. But their TEs were invisible in their offense prior to this past year.

I know nothing about ASU (besides the hot girls), but that sounds good for us

ASU had a new offense that relied heavily on the TE in the offense since they did not have great receivers. The TE is going to be a senior and will probably be the leading receiver again next year just don't have any threats in the WR position.

Sounded like he loved Carroll too from that recent interview. I'll take Al and Carroll and UM's storied tradition as closers over Todd Graham and ASU TE corch and their lack of tradition. I'm gonna will this thing to happen because I think he's a MONSTER. Super fluid, athletic, very natural receiver. Looks like a pretty tough guy too.
