*** NO NEW SPECULATION OR INSIDER INFO ***

If a decision comes out before the game on Friday, it would effectively sully our name for the long weekend (being the top college football/sports news of the weekend), and it would disrupt/carry forward to next week's preparation for UF. I guess any publicity is good publicity in this hash tag world, but it just seems like the perfect opportunity for another de facto punishment by the NCAA.

It's clear to me that the NCAA tries its hardest to magnify their (inconsistent and arbitrary) message by the use of timing and stage, so what better opportunity to make an example of us? I just pray that our boys aren't too shook up by the news or the attention. These kids have done such a great job persevering and I just have a feeling that they're going to be made to unnecessarily suffer... even though none of them had any part in this 'scandal'

Gotta hope that (and I expect them to announce it UF week) that if they do in fact announce it then, gotta hope it will make our boyz ****ed off and angry and make them play that much harder. Could work to our benefit.

Give it a rest.....why get all freaked out over nothing you control

No one is freaked out. This thread has more to do with timing of an announcement, press coverage, and program distraction (especially its impact on game 2 prep).

I understand and there has been 100s of threads like this...we all know the NCAA is just waiting to *** us at the best time possible...and there is nothing we can do...

just enjoy fridays game and then we prepare for UF..first is FAU..the guys will be ready what ever happens

There is. O question about it anymore

They've held off to try to derail our season. We made them look silly and now they are out for blood plain and simple. It's so ***KING childish and unprofessional. This is supposed to be the governing body of college sports but they are acting more like high scholl cheerleaders.

The NCAA will announce its recommendation on Manziel play or no-play on Wednesday, according to an A&M source.

Manziel interviewed today and a recommendation on Wednesday, still nothing for the U?

It comes out Monday right after the rankings that puts us into the top 25. What more would the NCAA need? Two top 25 teams playing, ghetto Miami vs a beloved $ec school. Only two other good games that weekend neither really need publicity around them $ec teams UGA vs USCe and tame vs Mich. If this is the case and it comes out then we will be getting much worse then some of have expected. No chance they want that kind of publicity for a slap on the wrist

Lets see. They announce the investigation right before the season started in 2011 ;they,NCAA,announce our allegations right after the Super Bowl and three weeks before signing date;they have not yet announce our penalties yet and we are about to start our 2013 season. It clearly appears that all their announcements have been premeditated to cause us the most harm.

Who the **** knows when it's going to come down....

All you ankle biters that think the delay means the punishment is going to be harsher than expected can crawl back into your holes. Maybe they're delaying the announcement as long as possible as a punishment in and of itself, because they know they can't hit us with anything real... two can play this game!

We skate....

Bilas "NCAA is pondering whether to make a bad decision or a really bad decision"

Waiting until UFraid week will be the ultimate confirmation that this sham of an investigation was perpetrated for the sole purpose of doing as much damage to the program as possible, regardless of any improprieties taking place. A healthy Miami program is a major roadblock to the good ole boys trying to harvest talent rich SoFla. Its clear they want us out of the way.

This is exactly how Golden is coaching these young men as well. Don't worry about what you cannot control. He'll have them out in top form whether the NCAA hypocrites throw the book at us or we skate. Either way, Al and staff will have his players ready mentally.

Not sweatin' it.

NCdoubleGAY is waiting to see what kind of product Al Golden is putting on the field this year so their sanctions have some impact guys.

Unless there's another bowl ban coming (unlikely IMO), the timing no longer really matters. Whether it's this week, next, or mid-October, I think the effects on the 2013 season will be negligible. As fans we all want closure, but I think the general public has already forgotten what we allegedly did wrong. They MIGHT remember that the NCAA royally screwed the investigation, but ultimately this is now "page-3" news and I think Golden and the team feel the same way.

It's time to enjoy real live college football again - F the NCAA.

I don't want closure. I want revenge. And I do not care how long it takes. I'm in this for the long haul. I hope the school sues.
No way any of us are going to be happy with the decision anyway - I'm hoping it's bad enough that the school has no choice but to sue.
