The NCAA paid Nevin Shapiro $8,200 for his commissary fund, that's the fund that lets you buy Hostess Twinkies, gum and phone calls etc. Well it seems like the 8 players who were suspended received (and they paid it all back over a year ago) around $5,000. In other words the NCAA's immoral and unethical if not illegal payments were greater than what Shapiro gave.

This whole process is so ridiculous.

When it is all said and done, the NCAA will probably have spent somewhere near $1 million over the past two years while trying to build the case against UM. Between salaries, travel expenses, legal processes, etc. the bill has to be astronomical.

What a waste of time and money.

I think they will have spent a whole lot more than that.

Paying a con felon money to get to the truth is so logical.

And nothing's wrong with this picture? And the NCAA has the nerve to still come after us almost full bore?

Might be the influence of that former prosecutor Wainstein who is assisting Emmert these days. Those guys can be nuts.

These guys are completely nuts. Utterly detached from reality.

From everything we see, the investigative team is more concerned with nailing programs and finding dirt than they are with finding out the truth. And these self-righteous ***** are blind to the concept of personal dignity or any sense of morality or ethics. Shameless mother****ers, them. And it will be their downfall soon enough.
