I can't understand why we don't hit off speed pitches well. Not even well, at all.

Not to be an *** but have you ever tried to hit a breaking ball. If you cant recognize it out of the pitchers hand you are screwed. This is the difference between being a good hitter and the majority of this squad.

This is true but it’s a pattern by now by nc state. If I’m the skipper I’m telling the kids look for 1st pitch breaking ball/off speed. Their approach leads me to believe no one is telling these kids that

Yes, I hit them very well for homeruns in college. I looked more for location not just trying to hit just fastballs.

When you have only one guy that hits curveballs (Adrian Del Castillo) and he's struggling with offspeed at the moment, it is a system problem not an individual problem.

Why do the NC State hitters rake against hanging curveballs while we whiff at them?

Ive been on this board for almost 9 years now. Posting on baseball board for everyone of those. That has been what we have said my entire tenure on here. And even before then

I remember that 2017 team pretty awful too if I'm thinking of the right year. We had a two yr stretch without making the postseason Morris last couple years. Those teams had nothing. What is shocking here is I felt like this team had solid veterans

We have natural bat talent. I think a majority of our issues at the plate are in approach. Gino must be emphasizing pitch count and on base %, otherwise I don’t know why we take so many **** shots.
