I was so upset watching the championship game last night. I couldn't figure out how one can watch the defense of both teams and think that our scheme could work with better players. There is a reason why teams like VT and WF marched up and down on us, and got shut down the very next week. Like I posted last night, I think Golden has one more year of selling his crap before everyone figures out that he is loaded with crap. SFL players will not want to play for this team, and will leave in droves.

Next year has to be the year for UM to win the ACC Championship, and here is the reason why I think so. FSU will probably lose a load of players because of them graduating or leaving early to the NFL (Jernigan, Benjamin, Joyner, Telvin Smith, O'Leary, Jones, Brooks, Stork, Shaw, and maybe Greene. VT is losing Thomas, Louisville is losing Bridgewater and Strong, and Clemson is losing Boyd and Watkins. We are losing players that will make us better just by their absence. I hope and pray that for the sake of our football program that Golden and D'nofrio at leat makes some changes to their scheme and allows these kids to use their speed. If we fail again, then I think our team will be screwed for years to come. Shalala will not fire him anytime soon, and he will not fire his buddy. No excuses next year. JMHO. Go Canes!

its not just about beating Duke at home. we consistently play down to the middle of the pack/lower ACC teams. UVA is a prime example of the past and WF last year. we did this under Blandy and it has continued under Al. hard to convince a fan base that if we beat Duke that we won't slip up elsewhere

We don't play down to those teams. We are those teams.

Well, there goes my hope and my argument. Great Point!

We have more natural talent than these teams. Our failure to develop players levels the playing field and their gameplans are always better than ours and this is why the games are close.
