My Guess for the new off field hire..

Is DvD. I know there was some talk about him also being in the running for a position at Georgia. The guy seems to be really well respected by the kids down in south Florida, he played pro ball, is an alumni and can help rumph recruit.

DVD been recruiting for the canes

all over nesta timeline too. DVD for the kill
 
He was a DB, he would have to coach DBs...don't see it happening, but stranger things have happened.
 
He sells um all the time. Like i said he has coached with me the last two years.
He's plugged in with alot of the kids...last year at our teams super bowl game after the game we literally spoke on um and recruiting for maybe 4 hours lol.. And at the game all the guys like Pat Surtain Jr, some MNW kids, Cam davis,etc came to the game and knew dvd and made sure to come holla.

He's gonna be a great coach down the road.

I agree with OP. I think the hire is going to be DVD, and/or Hova the former recruiting coordinator at UF.

Pete said on the podcast that they were announcing a defensive quality control guy on signing day, I think this is the position he is referring to.... not the the 10th coach, that is likely Patke.

I misread, thanks for the heads up. I totally agree, DVD would make plenty of sense, fingers crossed.

Don’t know how I feel about that but one thing Richt has done is build his assistants with non-flight risks. So this would make sense.

First impression is that it’s a weak hire. However, he has time to prove himself with recruiting, so the jury is still out

Really?! Make him earn that title by closing on some kids this cycle first. ****.

DVD in a Cooney type role. I'm convinced he's the perfect hire. He seems to connect with the South Florida kids

Yep, don't want to lose DVD to a rival school either. He connects well with the kids in South Florida.
