my #1 option after Collins would be Chestnut

Don't take this thread as a "bad sign" for Collins. The post I had about him from a couple days ago back is still the latest info I've gotten on him. I'm just throwing out possible options if he does in fact switch. I've been saying for a while that RB is a bigger need than some think it is. Crawford isn't happy and don't rule out a Clements transfer, so this class needs at least one running back. Dillard has had mixed reviews.

Anyways, this is my choice:

Daryl Chestnut

Not the tallest, but has great feet and more power than people give him credit for. Pound-for-pound, he was the strongest player on the team last year (this is including Deon Bush and Brandon Radlciff). He would pretty much commit on the spot and there's no doubt in my mind that he's Miami-caliber after watching him for the past 3 years.

Pete I'm never going to hate on your recruiting approach. You thing the goods. However you are just asking for this thread to go to **** by starting off like that.

I'm with you though and I think the staff might agree if the numbers are there.

We tried to grab another RB at the buzzer last cycle and there's a reason for that.

Worse thing about those highlights are that he ain't Alex Collins and I don't think its close. Losing Collins would be a huge huge blow.

I have no doubt that Golden has something in mind. He had a backup for Northrup in Blue last year right on signing day.

And FWIW, I think Collins is a Cane.

I would like to see us grab another RB because quite frankly I have never thought much of Clements.

Look, as much as we hate to discuss the possibility of Collins switching, it could happen so it's something that I have to talk about.

Just saying this thread is going to be an Alex Collins thread not a Chestnut thread.

Not trying to be a ****.

Collins is a stud no doubt and a different player than Chestnut. I'm just saying that there has to be a backup plan (the staff knows this) and this kid is at the top of the list for me

I would name the thread "Possible candidates for the staff to look at". Might solve some things.

Like I said I think we need a kid like this even if we land Collins.

RBs, injuries, high bust potential. You gotta keep bringing em in.
