1. we looked desperate
i've never seen a team look so desperate while up 10-0 in the first quarter. we looked like we were afraid to be in the driver's seat. morris started forcing throws and it was evident that our offense was about to breakdown. our defense played outstanding in the first quarter, and even gave the ball back to our offense a few times. we needed to score but we looked scared. sure enough, morris started taking some unnecessarily risky shots downfield and ended up throwing that pic on a forced throw to Duke IIRC (was at the game, didn't see replays yet). i told my dad when it was happening that our offense was about to start crapping the bed.
then to open up the first half, we kick an onside kick. if that doesn't look desperate i don't know what does. "BUT THE COLTS KICKED ONE IN THE SUPER BOWL!" yeah. but they're the colts. they had peyton and a sick offense. they were in the super bowl and proved themselves to be a good team. we haven't, it looked petty.
2. i'm still on my personal crusade: kacy rodgers is awful
i honestly think that he single handedly cost us the game. FSU's lead was manageable up until kacy let up that huge 50ish yard pass. no clue what he was doing, looked to me like he saw the goodyear blimp for the first time in his life and took the play off to marvel at it. i don't know why we continue to play him. he has proved week after week that he is too mistake-prone to be getting this much pt. poor open field tackling, poor angles, poor instincts when the ball is in the air. dude got picked on by FSU's offense. i would have picked on him too.
not to mention that his dad is an nfl coach. dude has everything at his finger tips and cant pull it together.
