Really was pleasantly surprised as many on here were worried about him...Must be finally healthy. His get off is top notch (nh). Very athletic d.t. prospect. Don't think he'll get to 300, but could be an up the field, disruptive 285 type DT for us.

Looks very explosive and athletic key will be adding weight and staying injury free

On a side note, you local guys that watch STA... I understand Demarkus Bowman gonna Demarkus Bowman, and I know Lakeland had a kick return too that I'm sure didn't help things...But man how does this team lose a game? Are there back 7 guys all overrated? Because Munoz and Ingraham look pretty **** good for me, and Tyreke Sapp is going to go anywhere he wants. Are the LB pretty much doing their own thing and giving up big plays? because I've liked Huff since before he was committed to UM. Central lit em the f**k up?!

Also, I know Malcolm Ray has a cult-like following on here, some from guys whose opinion I respect (gogeta, LBC)...But looking at both tapes of 260ish undersized DT...If they are fighting for open spot, I'm giving the edge to MUNOZ over RAY. JMO.

And that doesn't mean I dislike Ray, I just can see now, after watching these highlights why they went with Munoz over Ray and Kancey.

Manny/Miami defenses is very reliant on a disruptive DT, first with Mcintosh and last year with Willis on a higher level, hope he can be the next one in a couple of years.

I believe Nesta will be the next in line.

Ray is an ok player butvhe is nowhere near as talented as Munoz. Munoz get off is apparent Ray is not as athletic. He is not power 5 caliber.

That and durability would be the worry...BUT when you consider that he and Blissett were both identified early by Simpson while watching them live steps in front of him, as a definite type that he wants...It seems that he is fine with sacrificing a little bit of size at that position for athleticism and potential disruptiveness...

Dont be a star gazer, do your own evals, if you let the nerd recruiting sites guide you, you wont be able to develop your own eye for talent!

Their hc isnt all that. Their offense bogs down as they really have a lot of mouths to feed and dont know what they want to really do on o. But anytime a team isnt afraid of them they give them a game. Lakeland also was getting through their ol rather easily in the 2nd half i watched. No way a kid should have that many yds rushing against them though...not sure what their game lan was there or they just thought they were that much better than Lakeland

Yeah makes sense.. He did have 80 on one play and he is special though obviate.

Maybe it's the number, but he reminds me a lot of Matt Walters.

He was also considered a tweener type coming out of high school. He even started a game at DE as a senior if I'm not mistaken.

He was absent most of Lakeland game. Very soft. Hopefully a S&C program will fix that.

What does this even mean? I've said from the beginning that this kid is - bare minimum - a solid base end or 5-tech against the run on early downs. The question is whether he can develop the pass rushing chops to be an effective interior rusher or if he just remains a 2-down role player. If that's a tweener then so be it but I don't see that as a bad thing unless the staff misuses him.

...you were obviously reading the wrong posts/posters...

Just another frogtea moment here, plenty more to come :sneaky:
