Beyond OC/DC etc is the money that will be spent on support staff, dedicated evaluators, infrastructure and behind-the-scenes talent stockpilers that make every elite program run. I want to see us hire 10 guys whose sole job it is to make spreadsheets and phone calls and pound pavement sorting the wheat from the chaff all year long. Let's get back to being elite evaluators. That's what wins championships IMO.

All this excitement has me hot and bothered. I need more news. Please announce the AD hire so we can hear him talk about his vision in supporting the program. I have a feeling I'm gonna nut twice during that presser considering the number of times I nutted during Mario's.

There were many that said we didn’t need another “Miami guy”. Fact of the matter is Miami is a very unique place and needs a HC that understands the uniqueness. Who better to fill that role than Mario.

Is it gluten free?

If this cadre of evaluators then feeds that information into a cadre of "dealmakers" whose sole task is to get the evaluated talent to sign at Miami by any means necessary, then i'm on board.

Texas is now paying their OL $50k/year. Next, they will be paying the entire team and then every SEC school will follow suit.

If we cannot match ,where this arms race is taking college football then our All-World recruiter will have his hands tied.

Couldn't agree more OP

We constantly hear of how these SEC teams are staffed. AR82 alluded to it in a podcast. He talked about how, when he was injured, he basically did everything by himself. While, at other P5 schools, there are so much 'support staff' that each support staff that the ratio of players to support staff/position coach is around 3:1.

I love to see guys like DVD, Ish, Field, and Hickson transitioned into a support role

It's going to be interesting to see where MC takes this program. He's basically operating with an open budget and will have the funds available to make any changes he desires. To me, this is where his previous experience at a place like Bama will come in hand

Agreed. What was that Tweet that circulated after Bama crushed us? Something to the effect of "Miami employs 2 guys to guard the turnover chain. Alabama employs 2 guys to break down every Miami blitz package for the last 3 years."

Not only that but also, grizzled analysts who have been through the wars who offer an experienced sounding board to Mario and who can help scout the next opponent and help gameplan.

Yes! Give me all the excommunicated refugee head coaches you got.

Is that on top of an already set $100k per year?! NIL is a game changer for schools in Texas.
