Kirk said during the game people at miami told him. I knew a ankle bruise would not last this long. Why didn't they sit him vs usf? Maybe they don't think ryan williams is good as they say.

You look at this a couple of ways...

1. The injury is not as bad as people think
2. The coaches think Morris gives the team the best chance to win unless he absolutely cannot go
3. Ryan Williams is really not good, and people are suffering from "backup QB syndrome" where they automatically think the backup is better than the starter
4. The coaches are blindly loyal to the senior to the detriment of the team as a whole

I still don't know why the **** people keep saying we should have "sat him here, sat him there...." like a week or a half is going to miraculously heal him. It's ******* clearly not that type of injury.

People say Morris is not that good and he is making Coley look bad yada yada. Fisch leaving had a huge impact on Morris no doubt. He had command of that offense. He knew where to go with the ball at all times. Hence he only threw 7 picks. Even in games where the teams were better than we were. It had a huge impact. And its not necessarily the scheme, its the play calling. But hey, he is a Randy recruit so he should be doing super even with a huge limp everytime he gets hit.

but according to most on this site S. Morris isnt really that injured and he hasnt showed any "moxie" at all by even playing w/ a bum ankle.

We wouldnt be 7-1 w/o S. Morris at QB, simple as that.

Ryan Williams i like him but lets get serious..... lol all this dumb **** about his ability to hit the TEs more, makes him the best, is laughable. Yeah Clive Walford really saved the day against FSU.

Let this be the theme song for the Va Tech game:

Who knows if he would have tweaked it later in the game, but he paid the price for running out of bounds instead of taking the hit on his third-down scramble just short of the first-down marker.

Telling play IMO either he has zero awareness even though the marker is in front of him of he's not willing to take the hit for the team. Why not just slide??

Agreed, he needed to put his head down there and make sure he got the 1st down.

I say he has no awareness, I have seen him take hits before so I go with the idea he just really doesn't know whats going on out there. Kid is in his 4th year and he still can't read defenses past his first read. I was a fan of the kid and still wish him the best, but it's **** sad to watch him read the field.

Sitting out a couple weeks would heal it a lot better than running around on it getting hit and re aggravating it over and over

I wouldn't put a ton of stock in what Kirk Spermseat says. He's not a bright guy, so I doubt he knows what Morris's injury is. I've had clients with bone bruises in their ankles, and they're VERY painful, and they last for a long time.

This is the scary part. 2014 QB competition should be interesting.

Wouldn't make a significant positive impact anyway. He has never been a smart quarterback.

It's only scary if it's true. Williams might turn out to be a very good college QB, or he might suck booty hole. We don't really know.

The Don is very big on sticking with his leaders. He made Morris a captain, and he's going to ride him till the end good or bad. That's just how The Don deals with the psychology of football and team dynamics. He doesn't want his starting QB looking over his shoulder scared to pull the trigger.
