CBS’ EyeOn College Football published an article two days ago on the status of the Ed O’Bannon lawsuit. The suit contends the NCAA and its business partners, EA and the Collegiate Licensing Company, are exploiting college athletes. Here’s a snapshot of the article.

“The Ed O'Bannon lawsuit continues to be nothing but bad news for the NCAA.

It's not necessarily news that the video game producers at EA Sports may have been modeling their virtual NCAA athletes after their real-life counterparts -- emails released in September as part of the O'Bannon suit showed that EA and the Collegiate Licensing Company were using players' names in development of the game, before having them scrubbed out for release -- but new emails made public Friday and published in part at al.com strongly suggest that the NCAA was aware that EA was using real athletes in their games but did nothing to stop them.”

It’s incredible that the ncaa won’t give athletes a stipend, but will make millions off their images. Enough is enough! Fire Emmert and bring down this greedy mob.

It is only a matter of time before the NCAA either has to implement a new business model or give way to a new organization. I have a feeling it will be the latter.

Does anyone even still use the rosters that EA comes up with? I feel like everyones getting their rosters off line now.
