I think the VT and Duke losses set us back greatly for 2014 as far as rankings.

Win the Coastal, even with a loss in the CG, and we are in position for a top 15 or even top ten preseason ranking.

Not that rankings matter so much, as we can't stay ranked, but ****. I think we head into 2014 unranked. The UF game was the only reason we cracked the top 25 this year after the FAU win.

Kinda starting from scratch again, four years into the program.

Just another cheery thought. ;)

Who cares about preseason rankings? Didn't you read the herald article? The staff is already making excuses for next year already. We're not going to be much, if any better next year, especially on defense. If we could only improve to 8 or 9 wins with a pathetic schedule after returning 18 or 19 starters, why will be better next year?
 
Win our bowl game and it'll end on a high note it hasn't been on since what 06? When Coker won that last bowl game

I hear ya, but preseason rankings are the least of our worries moving forward.

No way the Coastal can be as bad as it was this year and last year. And since terrible Coastal teams have no trouble embarrasing Golden, what if a team becomes average?

5-3 this year will be Golden's hallmark. Great. He achieved a Shannon height.

This year was our last shot at the Coastal.

Two OOC losses out of the gate next year with UL and Nebraska. Pretty sure Cincy is more than capable of outcoaching and outplaying us.
