MOAR OLINEMEN!!!

We need to look at the man with the whistle as much if not more than the kids in the jersey.

You're right. What is your opinion of Coach Searels anyway? Its hard to figure out for me. Is the line not showing improvement? Or is this as good as the line was ever gonna get with McDermott & Darling out there? Those 2 were both composite top 100 players. McDermott was a top 50! They have more experience than what? Every other O-lineman on the roster combined? Which brings us full circle. Is it coaching or did we manage to find 2 linemen who had equally low ceiling? Or both?

Not sure if it was the chicken or the egg. Were McDermott and Darling overrated (likely to some degree), was it the poor development early in their careers (this had to play a role) or was it that the coaching/scheme the last 2 years was not properly taught? The inability to hand off simple twists/stunts gives credence to this being a problem as well.

Will the younger, "untainted" OL on the roster better at executing when their chance comes?

Honestly you guys have this OL recruiting wrong. OL is the one position where you won't have multiple impact players as freshman or JUCO. And if you do, you are in a BAD shape. Honestly we should be going all out on NPF.

OLine is the weakest position on the team. Against good teams we are almost forced to pass on 3rd and short. This will always be a position of need in recruiting.
You must be blind. Up to this point the QB position has been the weakest link. But I guess you’re thinking about next year already huh? If Rosier could hit the open receivers the defense’s wouldn’t dial in on the run. It will change with an accurate passer whether Perry or Williams.

Ok so all this talk about DBs QBs LBs I think the position that has most improved is the OL. Yeah sure Herbert is a Redshirt (right?) and Donaldson is a STUD but we NEEEEEEED to continue boosting that’s OL so regardless of who our QB/RB is they have more options because of our goon squad up front. Who are some LEGITIMATE targets we have a shot at? Nick Petite-Frere, William Barnes, Salyer?

Sidebar— I had seen Gaynor playing quite a bit the beginning hal of the year but then what happened? I don’t recall having seen him out on the field since duke?

William Barnes and Ed Montilus are a package deal an apparently coach Searels is not willing to take both were as other schools such as UF and UNC are. Granted both players need to work on their pass blocking, but as run blocking they both would have played this year if they were at UM. Apopka runs a big boy I am gonna slap the fire outta your *** running game.

Barnes has shown much interest in Miami where as Ed has been all Miami since last year. Ed even went to see Miami practice when the team was up in Orlando.

Paranos, why did you link an old article that's talking about Barnes and Montilus bumping UiF up after the Tennessee game?

Because some a hole like you would ask me well how do you know their package deal and I could say because I know or I can also put a link to an article it's you know that mentioning that their package deal has been known for a long time They are a package deal .

Go canes

Thank you, you cöcksucking parrot nosed maggot. You posted an old clip that has nothing to do with Barnes possibly having Miami interest and then you can't handle a simple question, as usual. Go play in Disney World traffic, cuckface.

Thank you. I get that they may want to play together and Montilus watched us practice but you mentioned Barnes having interest in us and I just don't see it in its own right. He's been UiF or UNC as long as I can remember. There have been no reports of us having any traction here.

There's a new article on one of the other sites (maybe Rivals) saying that Brown is heading up to Georgia to visit Williams and some OL - I assume this means Goss and Meadows.

Would love to flip Christian Meadows from the Noles. Nice size at 6-3 320 lbs with thick legs and violent hands.
Someone posted on here a couple of days ago that our coaches have recently turned up the heat on him

Man Nicholas Petit-Frere is that dude. That's what we need. He's real quiet with his recruitment and seems to be wiiiiiide open. Who knows, we may have a shot. Let's see if he ends up visiting.

The QB would be a close second in my opinion. But when your Oline has trouble getting a 3rd and 1. That just make the QBs job that much harder. Did Rosier suck the last 2 games for sure, But the running game has not opened up holes consistently all year. Lets just say both positions are bad compared to the rest of the team. Also when Herndon got injured TE became a major disadvantage as well.

I'd really like us to grab a JUCO TE who can block in addition to the 2 high quality freshman that are coming in.

Unfortunately, if the staff didn't bring one in last year when we really needed one, it's unlikely they'll do it in this cycle.

A JUCO TE could've really helped us this year at times - such as all the 3rd and shorts that we whiffed on.

I’d like to see us land a tackle type. Tall, good feet. Maybe not huge at the moment but with the frame to put on some weight. Thinking Eric Winston type.

uncalled for

I asked him a simple question without malice and he called me an a hole in his response. That's why I opened up on him. This is the 2nd time in a week that he has responded rudely to me for no reason. I'm not going to be nice anymore.

I'm not an OL guy by any stretch, and I think we've had two QBs who put them in very difficult situations. It's no coincidence that once 12 tapered off and teams started filling the box they began to suck. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt on that, and also the abject lack of depth.

But we've also seen very little individual or collective improvement over the last 2 years. We regularly miss assignments on stunts and shifts, which they should see every single week vs our DL. Not once have we felt like our OL is an asset or strength. I believe very few position coaches can overcome garbage talent, and OL is one of those positions that cannot fake improvement, but at the same time I'm left underwhelmed by Searles' influence.

The trenches are where the games are one. This staff has done an admirable job at building our offensive line but Goldie left this so bare it’s gonna take at least three recruiting classes to build a playoff OL

I keep telling y'all our S&C Coach/Program is a bigger problem then the OL coach. OL coach is probably not good enough to win a championship though. I don't see enough overwhelming strength on both sides of the ball not just the OL. I don't understand how no one sees it. There has been to many games were we couldn't run the ball on a team like Pitt but they had relatively run the ball on us with ease. Not only that, but we struggled to tackle and bring guys down even when we had them wrapped up getting dragged for an extra 2-3 yards.
