Ok so all this talk about DBs QBs LBs I think the position that has most improved is the OL. Yeah sure Herbert is a Redshirt (right?) and Donaldson is a STUD but we NEEEEEEED to continue boosting that’s OL so regardless of who our QB/RB is they have more options because of our goon squad up front. Who are some LEGITIMATE targets we have a shot at? Nick Petite-Frere, William Barnes, Salyer?

Sidebar— I had seen Gaynor playing quite a bit the beginning hal of the year but then what happened? I don’t recall having seen him out on the field since duke?

Would love to flip Christian Meadows from the Noles. Nice size at 6-3 320 lbs with thick legs and violent hands.
Someone posted on here a couple of days ago that our coaches have recently turned up the heat on him

He actually replaced Darling in the Clemson game. Darling was getting abused too much for the coaches to take anymore.

OLine is the weakest position on the team. Against good teams we are almost forced to pass on 3rd and short. This will always be a position of need in recruiting.

William Barnes and Ed Montilus are a package deal an apparently coach Searels is not willing to take both were as other schools such as UF and UNC are. Granted both players need to work on their pass blocking, but as run blocking they both would have played this year if they were at UM. Apopka runs a big boy I am gonna slap the fire outta your *** running game.

Barnes has shown much interest in Miami where as Ed has been all Miami since last year. Ed even went to see Miami practice when the team was up in Orlando.

This is an underrated thread. I am all about dropping the primadonna Jobe and securing moar OL!!!!

I'd even hire a 10th paid coach as another OL assistant.

I've always thought if we could develop a dominant OL to mix with Miami athletes we'd be unstoppable.....

I agree and we all know this. Games are won and lost in the trenches. Our OL this year couldn't open a hole for Barry Sanders. We need studs there immediately. Outside of Donaldson I am concerned.

Paranos, why did you link an old article that's talking about Barnes and Montilus bumping UiF up after the Tennessee game?

Darlington is one of the best if not best coach in Florida. Love his offense. Produces offensive linemen.

Both of the Apopka linemen are heavy UF liens because their former teammate from 2016 is up at UF now and he's a starting left tackle for them. He has been in their ear about how he will take care of them when they come up and he'll look out for them like a Big Brother and the apapa team tends to be very close closer country.

We need to look at the man with the whistle as much if not more than the kids in the jersey.

Preach Preach! I am not sold on Coach Searels completely get either, several times this year the oline was in prepared for dline stunts, that failure is 100% coaching. But to his credit he would make in game adjustments that would correct the issues.
