Missed Opportunities

This is the biggest ongoing theme for this team as of late.

When you are already less talented, you cannot:

-Miss open receivers down the sideline (Morris)
-Drop big plays that should be momentum changers (Scott, Dorsett)
-Botch onside kick recoveries (think it was Jenkins)
-Drop would-be interceptions (Bush, Gunter)
-Miss tackles in the backfield (Chick, etc.)

I see this as a symptom of being young...I doubt we are having these same issues on these stages next year. They are in position to make plays, and with experience comes the ability to finish.

That is why I am encouraged by this team. It seems like in every loss, we have a few of these plays to point to and say "if we only did _________, we could have won this thing".

Losing sucks, but you can see the team growing in each loss, and that counts for something.

You do realize, right, that when you are "already less talented," you tend to miss more opportunities than more talented teams?

Fact is Miami cannot beat a team that is more talented than they are and often struggles with teams on equal or even lesser ground.
This team is a heartbeat away from being 2-6 with wins over a one win BC and Bethune.
They've got to take a step forward in these last four games.

And is a heartbeat away from being 5-3 and a couple of plays from being 6-2, and last year you could say it was 1 or 2 plays in every game from being 12-0 or 3-9. You can do that to any team, any game, any year.
