Misconception on Golden....(My opinion)

Currently, everyone here is upset with the job that golden has done and wants him out. Throughout the process with him and PSU i have felt indifferent if he stayed or left(assuming he took Coach D with him) . Throughout the year before we lost to Duke people were praising Golden all the time and he was taking us to the promise land. Obviously, I know we collapsed at the end of the year especially the defense. But, what I don't understand is why people always blame Golden for mediocrity when everyone knows what is holding us back. Coach D and his lame *** defense. Golden has done all he could by having us ranked in the top 10 for several weeks and being ranked for most of the season. Something that was uncommon throughout the past 6 or 7 years, Golden is bringing the 2ND BEST recruiting class in the nation next year and people are unhappy ? Golden was blindsided with the allegations and having half his team being suspended didn't help either. Having a cloud over his head with NCAA upon his arrival here until this year wasn't his fault. Until this season he has had one of the prolific offenses in the nation granted that was probably Jed Fisch is doing but still. Also, you have to admit he has shown loyalty by turning down his dream school and keeping his best friend even though he has been highly criticized.

I'm not saying Golden doesn't deserve blame for some mistakes he has made including coming in to the bowl game completely unprepared but blame the people that deserve most of the blame. Coach D

I give Golden credit for sticking by his longtime best friend but if we want to become an elite program we need to get rid of Coach D not Golden.

Golden approved this ****TY defense he needs to fix it.
He has a good recruiter as an RB coach that should be coach DB's
Constant mismanage of roster
Terrible X's and O's
And he is begging Louisville not to schedule us first for the ACC REALLY!!!!!
He has a best friend that can't make adjustments on D and gives up 500+ yards to teams

Get rid of the **** defensive coordinator already. Guy is a BUM! Nothing else needs to be said.
 
At the end of the day, he's responsible for the product on the field. That's part of the job when you're the top dog. This is the DC he WANTS. He obviously agrees with the philosophy that is allowing 500+ yards on the regular.

This is business. If your BFF ain't cutting it on the field, it is time to cut him loose. This bend don't break mentality doesn't work with aggressive, athletic South Florida athletes that are foaming at the mouth to make plays. Only way he makes this right with the fanbase is if he lets Dorito go and put an aggressive product on the field.
 
If you think Coach D is the only thing holding us back you are not a very smart person and you don't know **** about football.


Coach D is running GOLDEN"S DEFENSE. When will you dumb ***** get that through your head?
