Miramar beats STA

Back in my day (2013-2014) Miramar had STA's number. I'm glad to see they're getting back. Good program who produces good athletes and a lot of canes over the past decade.

Big and physical corner, something just doesn't add up here. Looks great in shorts, famous last name, but either his coaches are dunces or something doesn't add up.

They have a junior with a um offer at cb.. Kid is just as good as Blades. Blades rotates...its something they have been doing. His coaches are former nfl guys at db.

Need Jaden in that 19 class

South Florida football hands down the best in the country. So many good teams, have a bad game you get beat.

gogeta4 what happened to Miramar?

seems they haven’t had much big talent since Grace but they had a great run

Nothing happened really..they had coaching turnover. Their coach went to wvu. They still produced some talent. Then alot of the carol city kids stayed home..Carol City won states last year...Miramar seems poise to go on a state run this year though. Like i said they got a whole bunch of kids from Mcarthur..the current hc was their last year. (they got Watt, Smith, 3 or 4 other div 1 level players) they went east to grab kids and its paid off. They really should be undefeated but lost fluky to Chaminade.

I This area of Miramar/Pembroke Pines/Miami Gardens has the most youth football talent in south florida..next to Liberty City.

Don't forget, Carver Ranches traditionally fed Hallandale, McArthur and Miramar. I went to Miramar when Ericht Rhett was at McArthur and Sherard Parker was at Hallandale (the Hudson brothers were at Miramar), so its not unnatural for that Miramar/McArthur consolidation. Kids at Ives Dairy, Scott Lake, SWABJAA, SEYA and Washington Park all went to Miramar back in the day.

Good stuff, good to see folks that remember the old landscape.

im from miramar and played at mcarthur. I know the area as good as anyone, thats why i try to tell em the area produces heavy div 1 players. Those are just the public schools. This area gets recruited hard by privates. (Major Wright)Sta, American Heritage (Wilsons, bunch of others) and Miami Pace.

Carver Ranches still is feeding the same schools thought most of their kids should be at Mcarthur, they spread em to Miramar and Hallandale.
Major Wright’s dad was one of the best hurdlers in the county. Ran for Coral Springs.

Typical STA, falls short to any team that punches back.

I'm Miramar's biggest fan when they play STA. I love it, cause those Miramar kids don't give 2 ****s about no **** STA.

I'm sorry, but you should never lose a game with STA's roster. There's D1 kids at literally every position, especially at QB and in the trenches where it matters most. On top of that, they have every other advantage over teams like Miramar as well. (facilities, money, support, etc)

The most loaded high school team in the most talented region in the country should seldom lose a game, especially not to a public school. #GoPatriots

Dont know if some of the posters knew..but Miramar upended sta again. Beat them by a solid margin too.

Miramar is very talented, got a bunch of area kids, then took alot of Kids from the Hollywood Mca team that went to the 2nd round of playoffs last year as their current hc came from there.

Miramar makes statement with victory at St. Thomas before playoffs - Sun Sentinel

What's up with your boy Culpepper stinkin' it up at McArthur? LOL

Couldn't happen to a better guy. That dude was arrogant as fvck after they beat WHS last season. We had problems with him when he was at Coral Glades too. Fat *****.

Not that your main point is wrong but their QB position has been a disaster for them

They've had D1 athletes at QB, haven't they?

At what point is the Offensive Coordinator and coaching staff held accountable for the QB's failures? I've actually seen QB's transfer to STA and look worse.

I refuse to believe that the last 2 QB's at Western High School are better than the last 2 QB's at STA. (yet they look better on Fridays)
IMO they have a coaching issue not a QB issue.

Not trying to argue, that's just my opinion. I wouldn't be so quick to blame the athletes.

Seems as though STA got lazy this year and didn't bring in the big transfers like usual. Combine that was very average coaching and there you have it.

I meant specifically this year. They have had 3 different starters. The one starting now is a sophomore that was playing LB.

Don't get me wrong I agree on their coaching. STA is very talented but not like they usually are this year. Harriot since U School has always been questionable as a coach to me

They didnt need to...they are LOADED. They got transfers the year before in Blades, and a bunch of others. Their coaching isnt all that with the HC they have. Dude is all hype and any team with close talent has ALWAYS given him trouble even when he was at U SCHOOL.

STA haS 10+ div 1 athletes on offense and they struggle at times...sh*t is crazy.
Their defense is littered with div 1 guys at EVERY SPOT.

My buddy is preparing for a playoff game and was watching STA film this morning and confirmed what you said. Their QB situation is indeed doo-doo.
