How much does a team get for making the College Football Playoff in 2024-2025?

With the new 12-team playoff comes a new revenue distribution model. For 2024-2025, here’s how much each team will make in the College Football Playoff:

  • $4 million for each of the 12 teams that makes the College Football Playoff
  • $4 million for each of the 8 teams that makes the College Football Playoff Quarterfinals
  • $6 million for each of the 4 teams that makes the College Football Playoff Semifinals
  • $6 million for each of the 2 teams that makes the College Football Playoff National Championship Game

Additionally, each team who participates in the College Football Playoff receives $3 million to cover expenses for each round.

Additionally, each conference receives $300,000 for each of its schools whose football team meets the NCAA’s APR for participation in a postseason football game. Each independent institution also receives $300,000 if its football team meets the same standard.

All in all, $20 million could be made if making the National Championship game

I Guess If You Say So GIF

yes this is a big deal... just making the playoffs at least restocks the NIL coffers a little bit after all the investment that was made this year... $4mil easily pays for a large amount of the transfers that came in this year and shows some ROI.... not to mention the added money from the ACC for making it...

Still a slim chance we could get in... Outlook is bleak, I get it but it's still attainable..

We all need this was the biggest game of the last 20 years and, nevertheless, **** the bed. Smdh
**** the bed would have been a blowout loss.

Year one... they **** the bed with blow out losses and ugly losses six times. Year two... they **** the bed once vs BC with no QB to play. Year three... they lost two games by 9 points with a chance to win both games at the end and came up short.

Miami has no one to blame but themselves. This is why I say the clock has to start on Mario's tenure. If this is a business, he is costing the school a fortune with his salary, NIL, and the constant hiring and firing of staff (which costs a significant amount of money not just for coaches, but analysts, nutrition, strength and conditioning,etc.). Dude has the same record as little Manny Diaz. He has shown that he is inept outside of recruiting and his recruiting class is falling apart. When are we going to start asking the difficult questions about this grunt? What has he shown you to warrant this misguided belief in him after three years of evidence? I don't understand.

No, we **** the bed. Because the way year 3 ends, affects year 4.

Who has bailed on the recruiting class?

Most college players getting paid like pros play for themselves not team. How can you call any of these portal players who have been at 2 other schools a true cane ? They’re not and never will. It’s all bull**** now.

Tried to make sure we didn’t lose the chance to make fun of FSU and UiF when we could

Our magic was gonna come to an end eventually
