I listed a 40 time based on a camp results at 4.6 Spoke with his farther and he told me that although it isn't something his son trains for "I know it is faster than that." Ultimately taking it for what it is worth I would tend to agree with Dad here. His burst and top end speed is rather impressive for a qb.

Also of interest Graham Mertz was just offered by Oregon. Something to keep an eye on as Michael Johnson Sr is a coach on Oregon's staff.

We've had somewhat mobile QBs here -- like Rosier. But, Michael Johnson Jr. can bring a true running threat that I've never seen from the QB position at UM. That, plus he's not just an athlete trying to play QB IMO. He is a real QB with the arm talent and awareness. As long as he continues to progress, the sky is the limit. Especially since he seems to be a hard worker

This dude's potential is through the roof and I'm very intrigued by this recruitment.

Interesting to see Oregon offering others. With dad on staff, you have to think they know what the kid is gonna do.
Can you imagine the reactions on this board if one of our staff members didn't get a top prospect that was his son? Lol.

Roman how many years in Richt system do you think it would take for him to put it all together?

We all know he's a tremendous athlete but his mechanics are a little lass than what I would like. His throwing motion is very strange but he does have a knack for decent ball placement.

Someone would ask to fire even Sebastian the Ibis

Dyalect has stated on here that Sr. doesn't expect to be with Oregon after this season

regardless if the dad is at Oregon or not, and regardless if they know if jr is going to Oregon, they still are going to offer some other qbs. doesn't mean much this time of the year. lots of offers are out there, doesn't mean all are commitable.

Just mentioned this in another thread. But ultimately I see it similarly in the regards that I don't think he's a plug and play day 1 starter. He needs some refinement in the passing game but Miami is in a situation with the last few cycles the QB room is getting right. So bring him in, teach him the Rhythm Richt requires, and ultimately he could develop into the biggest running threat Miami has ever had at QB. Worth the wait IMO.

How many years? Depends on him. Needs time though.

The offer to Graham Mertz is commit-able.

I'm sure it is. just not going to read it to necessarily mean that jr isn't going to Oregon or that he's coming to UM.

I understand that and agreed. Sometimes we can look too far into tea leave prophecies but ultimately Dad is on Oregon's staff and it as at least note worthy.

So we are chasine NW QB who’s dad coaches for OE and OE wants and he runs really good. Why does that sound strange to me? I guess the kid might want to get away from dad like most teenagers going to college. Do we have some sort of real shot here?

I trust Jon Richt. Got Perry to re-commit, Sitkowski when everyone thought he was Andrew Luck, dropped Sit got on Jarren and snagged him in what seems like only a month of work. Richt is the Hartley of QB's. We talk about all the guys we miss on but we haven't missed on our #1 QB guy yet "knock on wood".

I know he has flaws, his competition sucks and probably most of you will disagree but man if Richt can reign this kid in and teach him how to QB I think we have a national championship winning QB right here when you combine him with our skill athletes and system. I like both and I think Taisun is the better pure QB right now and no disrespect but his ceiling doesn't scream playoff winning QB to me like MJJ. Maybe I'm wrong about Taisun but no doubt MJJ is a game breaker. He's what we need to take our O to different levels. He's the kind of QB that can cover up a lot of Richt's own well documented flaws. So I can see why Richt seems to be all in on him. At UM he'll get the coaching to develop the mental side, his mechanics and leadership skills and the rest is up to him on if he hits his massive full potential or not. He's not going to develop as much at Oregon under Cristobal. What a joke. I hope he can see that and commits to us and soon

Jon Rick is like that dude who keeps hanging around and hanging around until he finally wears the hot chick down and she gives him the slot.
