Bowling Green is expected -- barring 11th-hour breakdown -- to hire Miami assistant and ex-BG star Michael Huger, sources told ESPN.

Let's get an ace recruiter in here

Congrats to him. Interested to see if Coach L stays within his connections or goes outside the box

An ace recruiter would be nice, cause there are some super talented players in south Florida these next few years and I would like to take an advantage of that

Huger's an awesome guy. A couple of years ago I was walking around campus the Friday before the UF game, and my wife and I ducked into the food court for a quick bite to eat, and ran into him. He was hosting some recruits who were busy eating, and was nice enough to stop and talk a little basketball with us. I had gone to the ACC Tourney in Greensboro that year, so we got to reminisce about winning the ACC and all of that. Very cordial and down to earth.

Best of luck to him. Losing him off the staff sucks for continuity, but hopefully, Coach L already has someone in mind to take his spot.

I'm guessing that someone like Ahmad Dorsett would be a candidate to replace Huger.
Dorsett is currently an assistant coach at High Point University, working under another former Larranaga assistant in Scott Cherry.
He played guard for Coach L at George Mason.

Sounds like a sound choice. That guy has a very nice background and connections to Coach L. I like it. Nice insight, man.

Thanks.
Also, James Johnson was another former assistant.
He succeeded Seth Greenberg at VT and was fired after 2014 season.
He is supposedly a good recruiter.
He was on Coach L's 2005 staff.

I'm OK with that. But--my only question is, would Johnson be looking for another HC job instead of being an assistant in the ACC? Hard telling. I tried to Google him and see where he's at now, but couldn't find where he held a job last season. Maybe he'd be open to breaking back in as an assistant, then.
