As soon as Jai Lucas accepted the job as head coach of the Miami men’s basketball team, he immediately got to work. Throughout the week, he has been settling into Miami and visiting one of the top prospects in the 2026 class.
According to Alex Karamanos on Twitter, Jai Lucas visited five-star forward Toni Bryant, a 6-foot-9, 200-pound athlete from North Tampa Christian Academy.
Bryant is from Zephyrhills, FL. He was recruited initially by Jai Lucas while at Duke; however, they did not extend an offer to him. Bryant is drawing significant interest from major programs, including UNC, Kansas, Louisville, and Duke.
Bryant is kind of a big deal in the class of 2026, coming in at No. 10 overall. He’s also ranked as the No. 4 power forward and the No. 3 player in the Sunshine State.
Bryant averaged 21.0 points, 11.8 rebounds, 6.5 blocks, 2.1 assists, and 1.5 steals per game, leading his high school team to their first Final Four before losing in a four-overtime in the semifinals.
