How long before this kid gives up football to focus on track?

Why can't he stay playing football and run track at the same time until he absolutely has to make a choice? and then who's to say he wouldn't chose football? 6'2" corners with elite speed are not a dime a dozen.

Not sure if they're on the same level (I know next to nothing about track and field), but when I hear news like this, I think of Marvin Bracy leaving FSU's football team for track.

Know who else was an All-American hurdler?

Richard Sherman

Didn't know that about Sherman, but I'm a big fan of football players that hurdle. Shows elite speed like a 100m runner, but also overall athleticism, coordination and aggressiveness that you often don't see in sprinters trying to play football.

Xavier Carter at F$U gave up football for track, but he wasn't a very good football player. Just faster than everyone else.

Former record holder Robert "Spider" Gaines was a WR on the 1977 Warren Moon led Washington Huskies football team.

He will make more money in his first year in the NFL than he would make in 5 in track. I think this kid ends up going very high. Burns and Coley are the two guys we have with elite talent.

This guy is pretty good too...

Rod Woodson was a fairly decent CB that was also an Olympic calibur hurdler.
