Miami wins 9+ games

I would.

The future really, really looks good.

Nine wins is nothing to write home about, even though I'm sure most of us here would be thrilled with a nine-win season - if for no other reason, than to validate we're getting there.

Self-impose, take the lick, and get this crap over with.

It will hurt much worse the year after when we start doing really well, but CAN'T go to a bowl.

You gotta eat a siht sandwich, take big bites and get it over with. Nibbling just goes on and on and on.

9 wins is still a middle of the rd bowl game, so I'd sacrifice this one

Now, they get somehow get beyond that, well that becomes more problematic...

I wouldn't self impose a darn thing.

Let the NCAA do that.

You want players to develop and you cannot honestly believe that 15 extra practices plus a bowl game wouldn't effectively contribute to the progress of this program then I respectfully disagree with you.

Thats a tough call. The only upside is next they should be better and would hate to have a better bowl and have to sit that one out. So I say yes sit it out and worry about the future.

9+ wins possibly means we beat down FSU,ruin their season and wipe that sh.. eating grin off dumbo's face.I'll take that...Self impose and NCAA can kick sand,"we skate" of course.:stormwarning:

no way..last year was a gamble for us and it paid off...helping recruits think that last year was it..

9 wins is a decent late dec bowl....I predict 10 wins but I am just an optimistic guy.

agree let the NCAA do their thing..if we win 9-10 games,,,,beat FSU and VT sniff or win the coastal, win a bowl...yet our wings are clipped by another bowl ban and some schollies. at least the recruits will see what we are building.....WE HAVE TO WIN AT LEAST 9 games...

Hopefully we get the NOA before we have to make that call, but I wouldn't, ESPECIALLY if it's a BCS bowl game.

We're building something here. It would suck to rob the players of a bowl game, especially the Seniors.

I think it could also scare off some recruits who may be on the fence because of the sanctions.

I don't think think we get hit with a second bowl ban.

Actually, it might NOT work to scare off recruits, as the argument could be made - 'we are CERTAIN that this is our last missed bowl."

Forego another bowl, and we may not lose too many schollies. We're going to need those going forward.

**** it would be a tough decision, but I think we would have to. 15 extra practices and a chance to see our young guys in a bowl game would be awfully nice though

I think the only way we don't self impose this season is if we don't win enough to play in the ACCCG.

If we win the ACCCG, there is ZERO chance we turn down playing in the Orange Bowl.

The NCAA gives post season bans, which would include the ACCCG. Do we play in that if we have the record to or does Golden impose a ban on that also? That's what I'm saying.
