2014 Plantation ATH Chris Lammons has had a crazy past month, picking up offers from the likes of Miami, Florida, Florida State, Ohio State, and South Carolina. Although he is newer to the recruiting process, these recent offers have changed his perception on how to look at his decision.
“I was kind of set on one school before all these offers came in and now I’m looking at everything a little closer like who they’re bringing in and who they have,” said Lammons.
Lammons says that “one school” was Miami and that the ‘Canes still have the upper hand.
“I would say Miami is still my favorite.”
Miami was the first of the big three to offer Lammons.
“Coach D’Onofrio has been recruiting me since my 9th grade year and he’s a good guy. They weren’t really the first school to offer, but just having one from them is amazing.”
Playing with some of the top talent in South Florida on the Express 7-on-7 team, Lammons says him and his teammates talk about playing together at the next level.
“It’s something that comes up in discussions. We talk about how the coaches treat us and all that.”
After Miami offered, Lammons had told me he might decide soon. That could still be the case.
“After I go to some more junior days and camps I will probably be ready. I just want to check some things out.”
**Lammons told me he plans to have a decision by at least the start of his senior season.
**Miami is recruiting him to play corner.
**He will be visiting UCF on March 23rd
