Miami picks up FB Marquez Williams

Cute little school in a quaint town in the Carolina's who typically has decent athletic programs for their competition size. Who was the fairly big named QB who was there?

With what Richt likes to run, he will be a nice addition. At 6'0, he could probably stand to lose a bit of weight, but for such a big guy, he looks pretty good on his feet.

Not many comments, but then again FB is probably the least glamorous position....until you have a really good one.

In all fairness Batten was coached by the worst coaching staph in modern UM history.

I don't think Batten was the concern with the new staff, it was those that were trying to get the FB position in the spring while Batten was out. He's been injured since this staff got here so they haven't got to see him. Then again, they can't leave the position bare without knowing what Batten can do, good or bad.

Poor kid, already has Chise running from thread to thread to make us think he sucks for some reason. Will obviously be primarily used as a blocker, which Coach Richt wants. Has to be an upgrade over the walk ons we were trotting out there.
