Year to year, Deerfield is probably the most talented team in 8A. Each year, they choke in the playoffs.

Wtf happened @Coach Macho ? Y'all lost to a depleted Palmetto team with nobody on it lmao

Who did Palmetto even still have G7 and that other slot wr and the big qb?.
Offensively, they have the QB, G7, Mike Jackson, and they have a 6'2 WR from Texas with a few offers. Defensively, they have no one of note lol. I think Mike and G7 play DB too but that's it

We're not even that talented this year. Y'all swear Deerfield is loaded every season. I guess that's the perception.

On defense we have Tarber, Jayvant Brown and a corner going to NIU. Everybody else is just a regular High School football player plus we start 3 Sophomores.
We have TWO full-time coaches on defense. You read that right... TWO. The entire defense is being run and coached by two guys.

The offense has Jaziun Patterson and a bunch of kids you never heard of...plus an extremely young\shaky QB situation.

Plus no HC to keep things glued together.

Palmetto has at least 4 kids on their offense that could start for us right now. Two of their kids are more explosive than anybody we have on our entire roster.

And you talking 'bout they have "nobody" on their team. The **** you talkin about?

Everybody you just mentioned could start on Deerfield's offense right now.

Is it just me, or does it seem like South Florida talent (outside of the three DE prospects) is way down this year and next year isn't that much better?

It’s across the **** board. Too many reasons for it to list. A big one though… lack of adequate coach/assistant coach pay in the state at the high level.
