Miami has officially emerged as one of the top contender schools for Malik Reneau, the standout forward from Indiana in the transfer portal.

Schools such as Arkansas, Auburn, Michigan, and USC are competing for one of the best forwards in the transfer portal among the Hurricanes.

Reneau sustained a knee injury on January 2 during the game against Rutgers, which caused him to miss the next five games. However, he returned to the court shortly after.

Reneau entered the transfer portal on March 18 after spending three seasons with Indiana University. During his junior season with the Hoosiers, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 13.3 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He shot 55.2% from the field and scored in double figures 19 times on a team that finished with 19 wins.

Reneau initially committed to Florida while Mike White was there, but he reopened his recruitment after White became the coach at Georgia. He has a strong relationship with the Georgia coaching staff; however, they did not make his final list.

When he played in the AAU circuit while still in high school, he was with Nightrydas Elite. The guy that was affiliated with them at the time was, Andrew Moran, and he is expected to join the Canes staff soon.

According to the On3 Transfer Portal Rankings, Reneau is ranked as the No. 6 overall prospect and the No. 2 forward.

Is Malik the first one to transfer to Miami? Come on down.

Him and the Pitt guard would be a nice start.
