This is why you should prioritize south florida prospects with a certain make up despite measurable or what they do in shirts and shorts.

Yea im bias.....i'm going to continue to be as I know and its has been shown if you get enough Kam Kinchens paired with national guys with the mindset down here you will be a successful program.

It was posted on the Football Board , but i got goosebumps watching it man....the real tear jerker would be if they did James Williams story as well.

An organization will never lose taking a chance on a kid with this kind of character/work ethic. Very cool insight. Go be great Kam.
Yea man kid just has that business approach and it appears he had it his whole life according to dad, mom, grandmother.

He played at Northwest Boys Club....thats not exactly a great optomist program considering Kam is from Liberty City and easily couldve played at The Cherry (Gwen Cherry Bulls..Miami Northwestern feeder) or Liberty City Optomist (Uncle Luke, Duke Johnson,Antonio Brown etc) who are power house youth programs in the nation.

I think Mario maybe keeps 2 schollie types locally for guys that he may do backgrounds on that show similar traits.

I remember Northwest being on par with Liberty City before Gwen Cherry joined pop warner.

Problem is with the current climate that mindset(far more than the people)has become the minority. Now you look at Florida kids being able to get nil in highschool as well. What made Florida kids unique when we were dominant, was when you paired certain skill sets & athleticism with a certain mindset and a blue print of how to make it out of the hood. We didn't play because we wanted to be rich. We played because we wanted out of the Scott's, or we wanted out of pork & beans, or off of 61 or we didn't wanna end up like a john doe jit getting slapped up in front of everyone for coming up short. We wanted better then macca Zoe could do for us & our neighborhoods more than our own families wouldn't even let us go down that road. None of that exists down here anymore. Is no more hoods, neighborhoods have been gentrified. Don't believe me, go walk through allapattah, go walk through pork and beans. We were a product of our struggle. Where is that struggle at anymore? Kids are you tubers & 7 on 7 icons.

I understand some people feel we need the locals first and foremost. Not me. Certain positions locally I'd definitely prioritize (wr,db, I wouldn't even mind certain rbs or lbs). But what we need to prioritize is football players and leaders first and foremost. Don't care where they from. Mario understands that. This isn't old days city of Miami football. We gotta adapt now to the landscape. Just like they all previously had to do with us. Kam is one of those kids who is just the kind of dude you want here. **** where he's from. He lives for football period

We have had similar gentrification in Atlanta, But that always begs the question of where have the displaced people gone?

As an example, in Atlanta they have been pushed out of Fulton County and into Dekalb and Clayton counties as poverty still exists.

What you are saying is very interesting because that seems to be the case with basketball too. Just looking at the NBA draft most of the kids were either foreign, middle class, or prep school kids. What happened to the poor kids who developed a certain tenacity from hooping on the playground in various hoods? I remember when the city schools in Chicago, East St Louis, and Peoria used to dominate high school basketball in Illinois, but now the suburban and private schools have passed them up.

For here that answer from the community that I know seems to be opa locka,Broward,ft Myers,Carolina's, Louisiana,Houston, etc. They decided to go chase poverty in other low income communities.

Yeah it's because those kids have been scooped up by private schools recruiting them or they started a YouTube channel. This is a strange world we live in my friend

To your credit, the Boys Club wasn’t what it once was by the time Kam got there. But that park was a ******’ POWERHOUSE!!!

Gwen Cherry’s establishment and more importantly the rise of the Flo league depleted them, but they’ll always have some talented kids…

Still love KK and JW, hope they destroy the NFL and rep the U the right way.
