I want more than 1 RB every class.
They add up though. I'd say 7-8 RB/FBs is like ideal we should want on the roster. So I'd agree you want an AVERAGE of 2 per year.

But we took 2 in 2017 - Deejay Dallas and Robert Burns
We took 3 in 2018 - Lorenzo Lingard, Cam'ron Davis, and Realus George
We're likely to take 3 again in 2019 - Crowley, McIntosh (I won't consider Richards a RB), and one of Sanders, Cain, or Carter.

That means in a 3 year period we'll have added 8 RB/FBs. Average for a 4 yr period should be 7-8. So I think taking 1 in 2020 makes the most sense, especially since the ONLY one that is at any risk of declaring early would be Deejay Dallas. And even if he left and we only add 1, we'd still be at 8.

Plus you have to consider that there is no way the 2020 class will be a big one. I'd say its likely we have under 20 scholarships to work with for the 2020 class ....If we only bring 25 in 2019, that means we have 15 available scholarships for 2020 class. However we can assume some attrition will happen with nfl declarations and transfers. I think 7 is probably the MAX I can really see happening. That means We'd have like 22 MAX for 2020, but in reality it'll most likely be under 20 cause this staff isn't likely to push guys like Zach Dykstra or Brian Polendey out and there won't be too many candidates to be pushed out because all the Al Golden bums will be gone by then.

Point is if we already have 7/8 on the roster entering 2020, it wouldn't be the smartest allocation of scholarships to take 2 RBs in 2020 when we will still have a major need along the O/D line. Like we need to bring in like 9-10 O/D lineman in 2020. That leaves us about 10-12 scholarships MAX to spend on QB, RB, WR, TE, LB, CB, S. We already have 3 Wrs committed. We definitely need to take 1 qb and te per yr. we will likely need another 2 lbs, and at least 3-4 Dbs. we really don't have much room for multiple Rbs in 2020 or a need.

Kid has jets for sure but it always seems like big time backs break a ton of tackles in high school. If you look at Duke's HS tape he broke a ton of tackles in eye popping fashion. I remember Cook having similar film to Marks, seemed like nobody could touch him. Marks could fall into that category where he is so fast that whatever power he has doesn't show up on tape because he's barely ever touched. That being said, I don't get real excited about a back with elite speed until I see a him dragging defenders and breaking through holes that close up.
