Going into this game, on paper it had blowout written all over it, but the truth is this was a classic trap game. UNC was finally healthy getting their starting QB & HB back, it was a Thursday night game in a place where Miami has traditionally laid an egg. All of the odds were against this team, but like Golden has said, they had that bunker mentality, gutted it out to the very end. If anyone thinks this team has top 10 talent on this roster then you are crazy. This team is still a year or two away from having the level of talent that can line up a dominate everyone. What this team does have is heart, confidence, and a never quit attitude.

These guys are classic overachievers who always find a way to win. Last season this same team going into that environment on the road would have been blown out by at least 28 points. To have all of those issues 4 INT, 3 starters go down in the first half, and UNC crowd going crazy, and these guys still found a way to win. That is very impressive and speaks volumes to how this staff has changed this program for the better.

A win is a win regardless if it's pretty or not. Next week we will have our way with Wake and then go into FSU game 7-0 and a top 7 team in the nation. Miami is not back yet, Miami is building so just sit back and enjoy the start of greatness.

Reality, gotta love this team for their grit, and agree more time to recruit and develop talent is needed, but character is being built that is part of the present and hopefully will continue, trust the tie.
 
Actually, I think we are much closer to being back than it appears. A couple crucial things from the past are present on this team. It does not get down or quit. It plays defense even when it has some problems doing so. Back ups are coming up huge. Special teams are straing to be special again. It won ugly with some stars out and QB playing really bad game. The biggest and most improtant thing to me is that every game this year it has ONWED the fourth quarter. That was always huge in the day. Those four fingers thrust into the air said, "it aint over shuckers!" Last night again, 14 -3 in the fourth, on the fliggin road! Even our great teams have looked really bad once in a while. But the NC teams won anyway. Last might took years off my life but made me look forward to the ones I have left with a smile. These guys and their house have been one of our nightmares since we joined ACC and they got Butch. Now we are one of theirs. Did you see the faces? Did they remind you of Noles back in the day? They did me. Was that last drive like THE DRIVE in Tally with Dorsey? Different hero but same result. Can we remind the Noles how it felt? I think we will, because we have not even played really good yet. We will know in two weeks. Do we have 30 NFL 1st round draft picks? Not likely, but there is no quit in this team. I love them. Great game team. Great job Staff.

I agree with everything said in this post thus far. I kept shaking my head at the cats on this board that were saying we were going to blow them out and anything less is a disappoint. I just knew they were going to give us all they had. They were at the end, desperate and dangerous. Our guys showed me another level of their character. Nothing is over until its over. Golden is training these boys into Men and we have front row seats. It all wont be pretty but the journey will be well worth it. Grab your seat and get ur popcorn.
 
WE BACK still though.... b/c if we werent back we wouldve lost 2 or 3 games this year already.
