Golden says team still has a long way to go to finish prepping for GT..

He's 2-2 against PJ (2-0 while at Miami)

Big challenge stopping their offense. They were 4 out of 5 in the red zone last year while putting up 36 points. It's different this year because we run more of a 3-4 look.

Team practiced in the rain today. Nothing to see here.

Clements most likely out for Sat. due to hamstring injury (see Tucker having RS removed)

McDermott practiced fully. Morris looks healthy. Should be even healthier come Sat.

Duke being moved to 2ns string isn't personal. Has to protect the ball. Duke has moved on. No worries.

More Free Tucker stuff. AG is excited for him.

GT has 10th ranked rushing attack. Lee (QB) has also had a nice year, way more of a passing threat. (have to stay disciplined)

More discipline talk. DB's can't look into backfield too much.

Safety play is key as is MLB. Gaines needs to play well. So do all 4 safeties & backup MLB's. (Cain/Kirby)

Coley said entire offense played well.. Takes all units. Morris made nice throws, was given time. WR did their thing.

TOP is key this week. We were suprisingly close last year (converted well on 3rd down). Need to keep the D fresh.

So we probably won't see Morris attack deep down field as much or as often as normal for this game if the plan is to keep the D fresh....

Every "insider" article written by CS, CT, or ITU is basically a regurgitation of the staff interviews done after practice everyday. You can watch them for free on hurricanesports and the videos are usually posted on this board anyway. They aren't doing a ton of earth shattering reporting over on those sites.

AG answered that specifically after USF saying it's never a bad thing to score points on big plays.. Last year we just had to have them in order to be in games.. Now we that we have a pulse on D, we can afford to be a bit more methodical.

I look at as if you score quick and stop them, you will force them to have to change they way they play if they get down a few TDs
