I should clarify. Worst drill for me to watch at my computer at 4 on a Tuesday when all I need is something jolting. Carry on.

Thats a great one on one drill. It forces both players to go hard. If you never played football, you don't know some guys go half speed in practice when they get tired. This is a great drill and if it comes at the right time, it's brutal. FWIW if you allow the OL to get their hands up and in with a hold, it's a great way to teach the DL how to deal with it in close quarters. It's done by using his pads and your knees to push him into the ball carrier. You can use his strength against him to get off the block/hold. Sooooo, while watching this drill pay less attention to the ball carrier and more to the hold and how well the DLineman adjust to the hands/grab. Does the OL get lower off the whistle and get his hands inside before the DL? You can see who is exhausted and who's beasting.

How can we possibly expect Moore to have any power in his get-off when he's just squatting like he's about to run a shuttle drill. Let the big dog put his hand in the ground and drive off.

Wow, our d line sucks *** right now. I mean everybody was going through the motions. No hypeness, you can't win championship with ****!ng wast ed reps like that. ****. How in the **** does Hertoloua #93 look like our best d lineman and he just got here!!!! Wyche and Moten please save us!!!

Yeah, I was gonna say, #93 looked good. Kinda kicked Feliciano's *** on his first rep. He definitely looked like the strongest at the point-of-attack out of all the DL. Even on his second rep he didn't allow Feliciano to move him anywhere. (and Mongo usually moves people)

King is a write off at this point. Moore...whatever. Hamilton looking better every time I see him.

It is a top down mentality when coaching a team. Notice at LSU who runs the most violent and physical drill ( Les "I am your Daddy" Miles) an how he you can tell he just loves the violence. Also there is no manufactured jumping around and hooping like we say at UM practices, which is supposed to get the boys hyped up, rather than let them do their thing naturally. I think our players are being shackled somewhat by the staff.

Totally different drill with a different objective.

Miami does this drill too, and when they do, they get just as hyped.

I'm with wildcat here. This drill is in a totally different context.

Two gap BS...thanks for the preview of next season SMH

Seriously? This is like the most basic football drill. Everyone uses it, 2-gaping teams or not. It's goes both ways too. Offense gets just as much out of it.
