"Miami Hurricanes Roster is officially is Championship Caliber per Blue Chip Ratio"

Ha....was just reading that article when you posted it....Transfer Portal really helped our blue chip ratio....Think 7 (8 if you count Jeff Thomas) of our transfers were re-ranked as 4 star transfers and pushed the Canes over the 50% championship caliber ratio....Overall talent is definitely ascendant....

He was going through and bumping up guys who weren't even 4 stars in actual rankings lol. Defeats the point of the exercise, but we are loaded with enough talent to compete with most teams.
By my count the blue chip ratio was 51% but the sotu article placed george, kennedy, and osborn as blue chips when they weren't coming out of high school, but left out george brown jr. who was a 4 star coming out of Ohio.

We have enough talent to win the Coastal I know that.

We're still 2 classes away from being playoff contenders, but that process gets sped up or slowed down depending on how we do in the regular seasons.

If we mess around & peel off back to back 10/11 win seasons this year & next year we'll finally put ourselves in that top tier upper echelon, because then you'll see consecutive top 5-10 recruiting classes.

Pressure is on Manny from the jump. Waltzed into the best roster situation of any Miami coach since bald ******* Larry Coker got promoted.

There is zero talent excuse to be made.

Not so sure of that. Have you looked at our OL depth chart? It's pathetic. 13 scholarship players, 3 who are project Freshman.

There's probably enough talent to win the Coastal. But not much beyond that.

Yup. Realus was a 3 star.

Before someone comes in and says " 3 star for an FB is like a 5 star for any other position". No its not. Its still not a blue chip.

Coastal Champs should be the floor.

UF and FSU are the only teams on the schedule that have recruited similarly ranked talent for their current rosters.

10-2 should be the worst case scenario heading into Clemson.

Miami is back when it stops dropping games to dogshlt ACC basketball schools with no talent.

He counted the guys who 247 gave ratings to as transfers. That’s fair.

But he just decided on his own to say George and Pinckney were blue chips.

That's everything right there. Blue chip ratio matters, but it completely misses the point. Our ratio is tons better than 95% of our opponents, but we win 65% of our games. That ratio isn't what's holding us back (yet) so let's just ignore it for now.

And yeah, he took some liberties to get the results he wanted. The team is more talented than a few years ago, but it's not in that upper tier yet.
