Also call ti what you will, but after watching the tapes and reading these boards I would find a way to sign Eddie Jackson (even if he has to prep) and make Montgomery and Blanchard immediate Plan B's, similar to Blue last season.

Yeah I'm curious about those DL on NW, pretty impressive stats.

I wish I could find some highlights or film to watch on Blanchard. I've been curious about him for a while.

If his stats and size are at all legit he could make for a nice plan B DL to consider

what's the deal with Marquese Blanchard? Great numbers but doesn't seem to be a highly recruited kid at all.

I mentioned Blanchard a few weeks ago. He should have been in my top 20 of the list I did

This is completely baseless and I have no idea if true, but a lot of the time if a kid is an obvious stud at a big time program but isn't being recruited by anyone it means grades or off field issues.

For all I know this is an A student with a spotless record, but first place my mind went...

Pete, whats the size on Michael Smith? They list him at 165 pounds. That cannot be legit.

For this 2013 Class if we need to take a Plan B or C DT I would take Monty Nelson he is a red shirt year away from being a run stuffing NT that can hold the point, not a superstar but a blue Collar Grown ***-Man in the middle which is what you want from your NT. I would say with Williams going elsewhere I would take Bryant, Bostwick, and Donta Wilkins then if there is a way I would take Nelson also.

I think Blanchard my have some issues which is why no one has recruited him, so I thinking UM may work with him to get placed at Prep or Juco where he will most likely put on another 30lbs or so to become 290lb DT with a killer first step. At which point in 2yrs he can come back to UM for 2015, after he has taken care of academic issues or if that is not the case, has proved his off the field issues if there any want be a problem.

Here is the MNW vs Central Game from 2012 where Blanchard had 2 safeties in the first half of the game.

I Believe Pete had mentioned that he was around 220lbs range (In person). No way in **** this kid weighs 165 lbs playing DE -Div 8 in Dade county.
