I've said it a lot but it's worth repeating.

There's not a world out there where:
Vanderbilt
Northwestern
Minnesota
Illinois
Indiana
Iowa
Maryland
Michigan State
Purdue
Rutgers
Kentucky
Mississippi State
Missouri
Arkansas

All get paid $80mil a year and a program like:

Miami
FSU
Clemson
make $35mil a year.

The conferences know there's only so few value adding assets left that are available and they're both trying to be the best conference. There will actually end up being a premium on our program if we continue to draw eyes and compete at a top 10 level and there's the possibility we end up getting competing offers from both conferences. Anything they can do to elevate their value to the TV networks they'll do because there's not that many value adding brand out there anymore and if don't bring the value to the table then when it's time for the TV networks to renegotiate their shares will all go down.

FSU doesn’t move the needle unless we are the opponent. They actually are perfect for the ACC or the Big 12. Maybe the new Pac12 or AAC. Need people to stop trying to get them as our plus 1.

Our plus 1 (if needed) should be ND, NC or Clemson in that order.
 
I fully expect to be highly annoyed at the rankings this week.

Yes, I know it's irrelevant, but the overreaction by the media is laughable.

That's not true. They had good ratings last year when they were good.

Thanks - they got a huge bump from playing LSU and Florida. Take away those two games and they average 2.8 mil in an undefeated season while playing both us and Clemson.

Our game with Florida outdrew FSU game with Florida last year by almost 2 million. And it was opening weekend before anyone REALLY knew about Cam and FSU/Florida last year was last game of the year and people seeing how they do without Travis.

Maybe I’m being harsh, but FSU isn’t in our ballpark when all things considered equal.
