In his presser Guidry first said Quan tweaked his hamstring then changed and said it was only a cramp. Regardless he was hurt and thats why we saw so much of Harris. I dont think many would be clamoring for third string safety to get snaps.

Was excited to see Blount play ahead of McConathy. Had feared they would try to RS Blount. He looks ready but seemed only to bull rush on passing downs, whereas McConathy actually generated pressure playing with his hair on fire. DE room is so stacked that we could afford to slide Mesidor inside, just had to be patient with the younglings. Hope they continue to spell Baron, Mesidor, Barrow in particular since they've each played a million snaps.

Super appreciated. I find these snap counts very helpful to gauge development and depth progress.

DB: If I understood Guidry's presser, ZP would have played more if he hadn't pulled his hamstring. Not sure why they're not playing Williams, though it sounds like he'll start rotating in at CB. My guess is he's not strong enough to be an open field tackler, which safeties really need to be. Sounds like Mack recovered from injury too late, and they don't think Day is ready. Stafford is clearly not ready either, as he rarely gets a mention. So the only real relief we should expect is Robby's slow development and Damari's return. Really have to hope the first team gels with so many reps together.

LB: No idea why Popo wasn't suited up, hope all is well there. Chase Smith must truly be damaged goods, because we could have used him on Saturday. FSU was trying to create mismatches with the TEs and RBs on LBs in passing situations, and even though he played valiantly, let's face it, Kiko is a liability in space.

DL: Really happy to see them rotating in multiple true freshmen along with Bryant. Bodes very well for the future. Where is Jones, though? And Horton must be suffering from Arroyo syndrome. He was supposed to be healthy and cleared to play a long time ago, no?

WR: No complaints. Surprised Sam Brown didn't get more snaps, but I really didn't queue in on him to see how he held up versus the coverages FSU showed. I would have liked to have seen Jojo in there at least low double digits. I think he's trustworthy enough with the ball not to createa turnovers and to fight for jump balls. But that's nitpicking.

OL: If they were better in pass pro, I would have liked to have seen the second team rotate in more. But I get why they needed the reps to maintain cohesion. Should be further along given how individually talented they are though, IMHO.

RB: No complaints. I am saddened Allen doesn't get more burn. But again, I get why given the opponent. He's a talent I worry will hit the portal though.

Pickett looks like he’s shot out of a cannon. He ran himself past the pocket a few times by veteran OL, so he’ll get better there.

Surprised to see him get snaps above Lightfoot, but they may be trying to save his redshirt since he’s already played in 4 games.

McConathy is looking worse as the season goes on, he may be hitting a wall. His redshirt is already cooked though.

Very surprised that without injuries to RB, they put Lyle out there. That one carry effectively ends his ability to redshirt this year. The decision must’ve been made that he’s going to contribute with or above Allen again.

I also do not see lyle as a 5 year guy. I mean thats the only reason to RS right? to get a 5th year to play? Who knows what the future holds but he either takes a step and becomes the dude for the next 3 years, or he gets passed up on the depth chart and likely bolts or gets passed up and hangs around and the 5th year likely does not matter Especially for RB where the lifespan is so short.

Well I guess watch the couple of games seeing 7 out of place missed reads and missed tackles would say otherwise. He is the second string safety

I have read this a few times and am unsure what you are trying to say... if it is that Harris should be second string based on the last few games? Yes I agree. My point was Zaquan was hurt so it was not insane to see Harris get those reps. Because if Harris comes out of the game, Quan cannot go due to injury, who would you want to put in as third string?
