Anyone else surprised not to see any S. Fla. leagues? Are the top teams spread out to different leagues? I actually follow Don Bosco and saw tehm against STA this year and Manatee last year and both those teams could compete in the North Jersey League thats ranked #1.Also saw Tampa Plant agaionst bergen catholic last year, and again, they were a very very good team.

Are all the top Fla teams spread out?

Central, MNW, Belen, Carol City, Homestead district belongs on that list

Max Preps is WOAT. LMAO at that Bosco ranking, Bosco's already lost a game, and their marquee win is nothing to brag about (STA, lost to Miramar). Santa Margarita almost lost to a team from Ariz, and struggled with a down Servite team.

Districts that should be included:

Flordia 6A Miami Central 2-2 (lost to Manatee and Grayson),MNW 4-1(lost to carol city),Carol City 4-1 (lost to Booker T), Homestead 4-1 (Lost 4-0 Killian) and Belen Jesuit 2-3 (lost to Columbus,Homestead and Hialeah)

Georgia 5A Region 8 (Grayson, Parkview, Brookwood, S Gwinnett,etc )

The diff. between Fl and Jersey is that Jersey has 20 different state championship games. Most schools don't play teams outside of their league, and that includes the playoffs. State championships are usually between two inter-league teams (Bosco vs BC). In Florida, district or "league" teams stop playing each other after 2nd round.

How in the world does a region that has Valdosta,Lowndes,Camden County and Colquitt county not be on that list. Those are powerhouse teams in Georgia. It is like the sec in that region!!!

that list is a joke

All of the elite college & NFL scouts know to come to Miami-Dade County to look for playmakers. How many championships have Syracuse, Pitt, Boston College & Rutgers been winning with all of those "elite" jersey recruits?

That league in Jersey produces alot major D1 talent. Not sure how Golden & his North East background isn't a major player there

The Jersey talent went to Penn State for years......btw, UM usually has a few Jersey players on its roster (IIRC we have 3 now)......Jersey's about half the poulation of Fla. so naturally we don;t produce as much D-1 talent.....and actually we're more of a basketball state (St, Anthony's in Jersey City and St. Pat's in Elizabeth being the powers).

Since teh Penn State debacle, Notre Dame and USC have been recruiting the State hard.....and actually Rutgers is keeping some (they had 3 first rounders a few years ago.....all local kids).

So waht would you giys say is the best league in Fla.?

According to Rival's recruiting database:

Jersey has 0 5-star recruits, and 8 4-star recruits.
South Florida alone has 14 5/4-star recruits.

The top three states that produce D1 recruits, per capita: FL , GA, LA.

That being said, there aren't too many hs's that are as well coached as DBP and Bergen Catholic. The teams in Bosco's league are very good, but you can't compare a "league" to a district in Fl. Completely different structure.

Best district in Fl: District 6A-16 Miami Central 2-2 (lost to Manatee and Grayson),MNW 4-1(lost to carol city),Carol City 4-1 (lost to Booker T), Homestead 4-1 (Lost 4-0 Killian) and Belen Jesuit 2-3 (lost to Columbus,Homestead and Hialeah).
