According to a report by Jon Rothestein, Miami experienced guard Matthew Cleveland might not be ready to go versus FDU next week in the Canes home opener.

It is an undisclosed according to Jon Rothestien. So, I wouldn’t think he will not play in tomorrow’s exhibition game versus the Saint Leo Lions.

This most likely means we see a lot of Djobet at the 3/4. Plus small ball Stanton-McCray and Jalil when he’s at the 4.

I don’t think the Yale big is serviceable but we’ll be forced to play him if Matt and Huie are out of service

As you say, one of Djobet and McCray slide into Matt’s spot and the other gets more time in the rotation.

I see Yussif getting minutes if two of Johnson/Kidd/Djobet are unavailable (foul trouble or otherwise).

Matt being out definitely hurts us in a lot of ways… but after last year nobody should think he’s a good answer at the 4 anyway.

I don't think we'll really need Cleveland against Fairleigh Ridiculous.

Let him heal, get him ready for the ACC grind.

I’m keeping a lot to myself about this, but Matt Cleveland needs to figure out how much he cares about basketball, and whether his goal is to play in the NBA, Europe, or not at all professionally.
