Matthew Bergeron 2019 3* OT is a Prospect Miami should kick the tires on that would be an interesting addition to UM's class, given the current instability in the 2019 class at OLine. The 6'6" 300lb tackle from Quebec Canada has played at the highest level of Canada prep football an won a national championship last year.

He is currently committed to Syracuse because he attended a summer camp they had in June an he committed a month later. He has not attended any other camps in the US. Bergeron is raw (bad hand placement) but has the physical tools to be a solid LT contributor as a redshirt freshman. Or if he enrolls early then possibly as a true freshman. Canadian players often have a 5th yr of high school so Bergeron would arrive as a 19yr old and play as a 20yr old freshman which would make his body mature enough to handle the FBS level of trench play he would encounter.

Coach Searels needs to get his passport ready. I couldn't imagine it would hard to flip a Canadian from Syracuse to Miami in November.

considering our OL development, it wouldnt be a good take unless we have a coach who can develop him.

I dunno....Bergeron....sounds a bit French....

You know what the French did with their Maginot Line....kinda reminds me of the offensive line we have now.
