-Golden didn't like tough question about "when will you contend again?" from Louisville reporter
-Focused on 9 wins
-Stephen Morris staring off into space
-Doesn't expect defense to improve much
-Thinks offense will be very good
-Maybe a position coach will be let go but not DC
-Olsen still on team and no signs of transferring
-Ryan Williams is tall but not a huge arm that is accurate. Expects him to be starter going into spring. Not a deep ball guy but a nickel and dimer
-Hurns injury was worse than reported, Waters out and Dorsett out hurt 0/11 on 3rd down but doesn't think that is the only reason why we went 0/11
-Louisville offense ran 76 plays
-Offensive Line had no solution for Louisville's confusing fronts, surprised OL struggled that much and credits UL's staff and blames UM's coaches for not adjusting
-Doesn't think bowl debacle will impact recruiting that much and that defensive recruits are jumping on the early playing time
-Golden was too loyal to senior class and played some guys he shouldn't have
-Kaaya not flipping on a one game outcome
-Teddy B was great but Miami made him look "immortal"
-Al loves recruiting and fans will be happy with NSD

Not much positive in that.... Golden won't pull the trigger on DC, Defense will be bad for another year running, focused on 9 wins... really???

Was this all Porters words or what he's reporting based on talking to Golden?

I SUSPECT, what that meant is they are trying to focus on the positive and the improvements they made this year. Not that he's focused on only winning 9 games next year. That sounds stupid. Cant imagine any coach would say something like that.

I wish we had some reporters with the ******* balls to ask Al the tough questions.

Instead we have SMD asking O'Donnell if a long kickoff "feels good" and Beast and Manny engaging in daily hamburger eating contests during lunch.

I can live with the nickel and dime offense! That is what was missing with this years team, couldn't sustain a drive and keep the d off the field.

Al's biggest failure this year IMO. Failure to recognize what we are working with.

nickel and dime is better than 3 and out, 3 and out, quick score, 3 and out, int, 3 and out, qb fumble, 3 and out, quick score.

Not saying he is another Ken Dorsey, but Ken didn't have a canon of an arm. He was a very smart QB, a leader and threw accurate very catchable ball.
If Williams shows leadership next season, he has enough tools to be a very good QB for us.

Just need a QB with a facking brain with a desire to win and our offense will improve like magic.

I hope Goldens obsessive loyalty to this years senior class was a one off due to the NCAA mess. If not....

He did focus on 9 wins. The quotes were plastered all over this site. When asked, he said 'we just won 9 games for third time in a decade" as though that is an accomplishment. So yes he did focus on the 9 wins to deflect, something Golden does better than anything else.

I wish we had some reporters with the ****ing balls to ask Al the tough questions.

Instead we have SMD asking O'Donnell if a long kickoff "feels good" and Beast and Manny engaging in daily hamburger eating contests during lunch.

If you listen to the interview, the one reasonable question asked to al about timeline, Porter made clear was a Louisville reporter. Golden got all rustled and probably wasnt used to being asked a direct question since it hasnt happened all season. Thats where the 9 win quote came from. Someone needs to ask him directly if changes will be made on the defensive side of the ball. Its getting ridiculous with back to back terrible defenses
