Matt Jones out for year; maybe U*** wont win another game

Florida running back Matt Jones will miss the rest of the season with a knee injury, the Gators announced Monday.

Coach Will Muschamp announced Jones will undergo surgery on a meniscus tear in his left knee, sustained in Saturday’s 17-6 loss to LSU. Jones left the game during Florida’s first series and did not return.

The sophomore compiled 339 yards and two touchdowns in five games this season, and he has 614 yards on 132 rushes in 17 career games. Running backs Mack Brown and Kelvin Taylor will be expected to fill the void in the backfield left by Jones.

Jones’ injury is the latest in a string of ailments to hit the Gators’ roster in 2013. This season, Florida has lost quarterback Jeff Driskel (leg), defensive tackle Dominique Easley (knee), offensive lineman Chaz Green (shoulder), receiver/return specialist Andre Debose (knee), linebacker Matt Rolin (knee), and defensive back Nick Washington (shoulder) to season-ending injuries.

I don't know, their d is still solid. They held LSU to little enough production that they could have won. I think def one more loss to FSU but would not be surprised if that's the only one

the injuries are great because they can't possibly blame a bad season on Muschamp now. So he's guaranteed at least 1 more year. Hopefully they lose a ton, recruiting tanks, and super aids runs rampant. I always want them to lose. **** strength of schedule, you aways want U*** to lose.

That's something the BCS can't calculate ...that was a legit win it

The Gatas will beat that jive turkey team, with the slowest white QB I have EVER seen, who also can't pass.

The Gatas lose to FSU, toss up against UGA and beat USC. Other than that, they have no other opponents.
