Just throwing out some names, but I think it has to come from this list
UConn
Louisville
Cincinnati
Houston
Notre Dame (if these changes spur the 16 team super conferences and force ND into a conference. Of course, if that is the case ACC probably loses a couple more to Big 10/Big 12/SEC, which would mean need to bring in others from the above list.))

Houston! Please.

They are a sleeping giant and their athletic department is now very committed to it's programs. It will take some time though.

UCONN is the best add. They are a great basketball school and have existing rivalries with BC, Syracuse, and Pitt.

I will come down to markets. I think we should add TCU since they'll be joining a failing Big East and the Dallas/Ft. Worth market is huge, or pillage someone from the Big12.

I think its more important to think about our exit strategies than what second rate school might join the ACC.

Louisville will have a very tough time getting past the ACC presidents, academically they're basically a community college.I would go after Penn State, they have voiced displeasure against the big 10, and would vault in a heart beat. Forget the Sandusky disaster, penetration state will come out of it in good shape; 2 years later one will remember Sandusky.

It comes down to academics. Obviously ND would be the first choice, but we already have an agreement with them and I don't see that changing. UConn is the most likely candidate it seems.
