Edge James and Reggie Wayne were on IG saying they needed to “holla at Miami” to offer the kid and guess what, no offer.. We had two hall of hamers vouching for us and are friends and ex teammates with his Dad... We show no effort he is gonna ball out ain’t no flipping him from OSU we miss again

Doesn't matter. Offer the best kids regardless. If you're own players are telling you to and you don't, it makes the staff look incompetent. When a kid who wasn't offered goes to OSU, it looks like they are better at identifying talent Miami's staff couldn't identify and offer.

I understand what you're saying but sending him an offer you know he doesn't care about doesn't make a difference. He doesn't care about a Canes offer

The main optics I care about is winning on Saturdays. Us losing makes us look bad not offering a kid that wasn't coming here doesn't. Edge and Wayne mean well but they have no control over where he was going
