Benefit of a good OL is that you should be able to trust any perceived improvement by the young guys during the spring (as well as who can’t cut it yet and whether a transfer is needed).

Is the thought Mesidor is for sure returning? He never announced or posted anything about hitting the draft like nearly everyone else did...wouldn't mind a starting group of Mesidor, Slay, Scott, Bain...then you have a bunch of young up and coming options as reserves with Bryant, Lightfoot, McConathy, Blount, Moten, Horton...Pickett and Rudolph as well if they can add some strength

Why would Bain go inside full time get him to keep his weight to 260-270 and he should be fine outside work on keeping his hips loose and hamstring that injury really hindered him I messed mine up my senior year and I never let it heal it completely changes your explosion and ability to play at a high level from down to down.

He and the staff need to choose, that tweener stuff ain’t going to work for his career long term. Either 6’3 265lb SDE or 285lb DT. The question is if he is gonna be an undersize DT, he’s needs to be really quick? Can he handle that weight and still have his explosiveness? Did the injury he had last year slow down his explosiveness? If he is moved to DT I wonder who the other SDE will be as of rn it’s just Mesidor.

I would honestly keep him at end I can’t see dt he’s got shoulder problems already seemingly so I’m not sure about defensive tackle full time I’d rather it be the Louisianana tech kid Moten Scott and jones or Horton Bain should be a starter at end and mesidor bring them inside on 3rd and long and let light foot and someone else go off the edge hopefully bryant

Just let him loose and see what we got. Him and Pickett are super quick. We need that. Look at Abdul carter…similar-ish build and at some point you just let them play. He was a linebacker until this year and is now a top 10 pick.

Only to put it on tape really. I know we've tinkered with the idea plenty just because he can if he can transition inside just as effectively as he plays outside he can completely wreck an offense. Could be a complete game changer. At the end of the day no matter how effective he is on the edge the NFL is gonna downplay his measurables. As we both know measurables is just as important as production on the next level. He shows he can dominate inside(a position that's not about measurables) he's getting himself up to go early.

I’m more excited for the second bunch , the starters just didn’t perform they got beat and pushed around out physical whole season.

I drank the koolaide on these front 7 hoping they man up when needed and they just didn’t not that they couldn’t, they didn’t.

I just can’t drink that koolaide again hoping Beck can score 60 points a game .

They better show up first offseason workouts like X did or this new DC looking with fierceness will surly see how weak we really are up front.

Bain cannot handle the size he has ZERO strength to go inside , he has no wind . Obviously he doesn’t train st all and it showed.

This new DC will see his films and will talk with Bain and his future if he’s serious, we all saw last year he wasn’t.

Bain better be ready or he’ll lose PT and he’ll declare NFL ready as usual
