I heard it's gonna be a Bedazzled Turnover/TD Prince Albert. So, Turnover Chain or nah?
“This one is a little bit more of a smaller camp just because this official visit thing is June is a real thing,”
“The month of June is a beast, it really is. You’ve got camps, officials and unofficials, so you’ve got to pick and choose when you’re going to do what. We put this on the calendar a while back and we’re trying to get the right combination with finding out guys who are truly about this sport, about this life and want to be Miami Hurricanes while at the same time guys are on official visits. We have another 12, 13 or 14 officials and another 24 unofficials on top of the camp.”
“The guys who have played here are decades and decades of the best of the best that have practiced out here. The sweat, blood and sacrifices and we’ve got to get everybody back in. For Miami to get back to what Miami should be, we’ve got to round everybody up and it starts with getting these guys around the guys we’re recruiting and putting on a camp where they can teach them all of the things they’ve learned and pass them some great knowledge and bring some great juice and energy to get this thing rolling.”
“Without a doubt we want it to be an instructional camp,” “We don’t want this to be a fluff camp. We don’t want to snap pictures with Ferraris and Bentleys and helicopters and all of that stuff. We want to do things to help these guys have a better junior, sophomore and senior year and the best thing instructionally we can do is feed them things to help them be more successful, be better players and find ways to win football games. This is all about the work and it’s all about the culture. That’s what we’re going to try to influence these young men with.”
“We’re rapidly approaching an NFL model. Let’s call it what it is. So that being the case, you have to have somewhat of an NFL mentality when building your roster. You’ve got to move and you’ve got to move fast. You’ve got to me really thorough and diligent with the background stuff. That locker room and that work on the field changes people’s perspective how badly they want to be a part of it. You better find guys that want to be a part of it because if they don’t want to be a part of it or are not mentally tough or want to be mentally tough, it ain't going to work.”
“You stay honest, transparent and relentless. If it’s the right fit, you stay on it, you stay diligent about your work and if it’s something where all of the arrows really point towards it being successful, you just go. And if you see some stuff along the way that ends up as a red flag with a guy saying this, but does that, then you make your decisions and you move on.
