I was with him last night at my nephews game against long Beach poly. Kid is VERY interested in us. I'm trying to get the staff to take a flyer. Thoughts? He's a former 5 star RG,army all American & starter at Ohio state. Has a real nasty streak. I know we're loaded at gaurd slots but I think he's an immediate upgrade over any of them.

I think someone made a thread a few days ago saying we need to go nuclear at the O-Line and CB positions, and I'm not sure I disagree. I don't care how many Guards we have. He can't be any worse.

Like the idea - I think we should take him the kids tape looks solid. But just to clarify, he wasn't a 5 star. Left Ohio state because he wasn't playing. And got dismissed from Kentucky. Assuming he was dismissed for minor violations - and nothing serious - I say we offer.

We may have a lot of guards, but we don't have a lot of good guards. He can be worse than at least 2/3 of our current OL, I would take him. But, admittedly, I don't know much about him. Why did he transfer from OSU, and why was he dismissed from Kentucky?

Rumors of Milo transferring are coming out, I'd expect others to come like Jones, Loftus, Mahoney, and Knighton. Gotta retool the line one way or another. Clear some space and bring in some guys that actually have a chance. Can't make us any worse.

they all should transfer. this kid cant be any worse than them. those kids were another golden sales scam. he couldnt get anyoen to commit in 2015 so he said " i had to load up on OL because florida was so loaded with great OL this year"

His publicized story isn't exactly on point with him. Depending on the sights it looks like he was anywhere from a 3 to a 5 star so I see your point there. But he was named starter at RG at Osu than his parents were murdered. Kid sortve lost it mentally. Wanted to go home etc & his entire time at Osu his people were at Kentucky. They kept calling him saying come over here with us you can start day 1 (cause by that point he lost his spot at osu)he fell for that & transfered to Kentucky. Than soon as he gets to Kentucky on top of him hating the environment,his grandmother who is the only family he has left she dies too... Needless to say horrible luck. He ended up fighting with his teammates & left Kentucky too. He's learned a lot since & he's grown up a lot. Knows he only has one chance left.

That's actually my one concern is if the previous discipline scares us away. His main problem was at Kentucky when he got into a fight it was right in front of the a.d. but they want him back all the same. Stoops lost control of that team a long time ago.

What a story. Rooting for this kid wherever he ends up. Let's hope it's in coral gables.

The young man got in a fight with a teammate in front of the Athletic director, that shows a lack of control. You don't see that as an issue? Anyway the kid is not coming because Coach Richt would not take a kid dismissed for discipline reasons.

Also the young man was dismissed over a year ago from UK, I hope he at least has been enrolled at a juco taking classes. Otherwise he has missed 3 semesters and he only has 5years of eligibility and with all the unfortunate incidents he has had in his life focusing on school would be difficult..
