Malcolm Cook

UM apparently issued the new offer a few days ago to UVA commit 2013 S/CB Malcolm Cook from Fork Union Military Academy in VA, AG is leaving no stone unturned. I am thinking they found this kid, when evaluating 2013 OT Sonny Odogwu and checking up on 2013 former UM commit AJL. Cook actually transferred to prep school for his SR year, at his former high school in Richmond, VA he had to play QB because he was the best athlete they had, but at Fork Union Military Academy (FUMA) he was switched full time to Defense and moved up to the prep level from the FUMA HS varsity team(which they play also)

Cook ran a laser 4.40 40yd dash (on a slow track, with poor field conditions ) at a ESPN/UVA camp this summer and Mike London offered him on the spot an he committed that night ( sounds like a NCAA violation to me, lol). His teammates said he is the hardest hitter on the team and confirmed this in an interview where he stated he preferred playing safety over corner back because he gets to hit people harder playing safety.

But here is the real beef that's "cook'n" in 2012 he had 11 TD's and 15 INT's as a safety/KR (special teams) all against prep schools and college JV teams.

Cook flat out said he committed to play for one the coaches that where fired , and not UVA ; matter of fact he grew up a VA tech fan.

UM is trying to get him down for a visit now that cook has reopened his recruitment. Being from Richmond, Va, coming to visit S. Fla in Jan will definitely be a huge plus for UM. So if we can't flip Robinson or Carter bails on his 70% commitment to UM, AG has from the sounds of it a good plan B. I am thinking with the Finnie issue they make take another DB even if its Robinson.

I love a ball hawking safety that loves to tattoo people harder then a LB. After a redshirt year Cook will be a 6'1" 215lb safety running in the 4.3s what is not to like at the kid from the Tide Water area.

Go Canes

Carter is higher than 70%. Stop that.
And having gone to a of year at fuma, I'm not aware that u can go from the hs level to the of level. Where does he say that? Id like to see that.

Virginia. Keep making waves there please.
JHall-
Next 2 years VA is loaded with 4-5 star players and that would really push Beamer into retirement.

Yup. Virginia doesn't have the depth of talent like Florida obviously but if we want to start leaving the state its a perfect place to begin, especially since there is no true recruiting powerhouse there.

And like you said it seems like every so often the state is pretty loaded and it looks that way in the near future.

Little off topic, but does anyone know how good that prep team is? Seems like with all the D1 athletes they have, they should be running train on teams. I would google it, but I'm to lazy so any insight would be appreciated.
